YES IVE DONE IT TWICE THE CAT WILL SMELL WHEN IT GETS WET LIKE A WET DOG BUT IT GOES AWAY IN 1 HOURCan i use this shampoo on my kitten?
If the label states kitten you should be ok.
A lot of shampoos will say for cats and kittens. But it is usually recommended for kittens over 12 weeks. Check the back of the bottle and it should tell you what age a kitten should be to use the product.
go head
Yes, it will be fine. Just be careful not to get too much water into your kitty's ears! Some cats are known to get ear infections.
Most likely yes. I have shampooed a cat, and let me tell you that it is not pleasant. I am sure you know that cats hate water. I usually get a wet washcloth and wipe down my cat so that I dont have to traumatize him. It gets a lot of excess hair and dirt off of him. Then, I run a comb through his coat and he is perfect. I would say to only shampoo your cat if he is really dirty. Shampooing too often can cause skin flaking, and if he has sensitive skin, it can irritate him. So, I would say you are okay to do it, but make it quick, make sure you have somebody to help you in case it gets out of hand, and only do it when it is necessary. Good Luck
yes as long as the kitten is over 5 weeks old it is fine
yes if it is a kitten shampoo it is usually for kittens 8 weeks and up unless otherwise stated.
wel maybe but just 2 be safe u should ask the vet all u do is call the vet so ur kitty will be safe then sorry
I would caution against it. Try plain blue Dawn. It's gentle and non-toxic.
Yes.
I would say that if the label says for cats and kittens , and your kitten is 10 weeks old , it would be safe. If you are worried though you could use baby shampoo , if you just want the kitten clean.
No, it's not safe for more than one reason.

It's too little to get wet unnecessarily, for one thing. At that age, it's easy for it to catch cold and that can turn into a respiratory infection. Fast. And, it will start to resent you and be afraid of you. I've seen people who thought they had to wash their kittens/cats and ended up with a pet that ran from them.

If you really feel the need to wash him/her, try a dry shampoo or a moist wipe formulated for cats. You can get either from the pet store. But cats/kittens keep themselves clean. If it's an indoor kitten, you don't need to bathe him/her ever.

If you're concerned about hairballs, it is better to get a tube of hairball remedy from the pet store. It's not expensive and most cats actually like it. And you can try a anti-hairball dry cat food. But wait until there's a problem before you try to fix it. Your kitten is pretty young for a hairball problem.

As far as his/her coat -- if the kitten is healthy, his/her coat will be shiny and beautiful. If there is ever a problem like dullness or bare patches, you should just take your kitten to a vet.
