Whats the best shampoo and conditioner?

i have curly hair, so i was just looking some something to smooth them out and make it soft.Whats the best shampoo and conditioner?
L'Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss. The shampoo and conditioner are about $2.84 each at Walmart, and you can usually find $1.00 off coupons in the Sunday paper. They worked like magic restoring my hair after damage was done.Whats the best shampoo and conditioner?
There are millions of different hair shampoo brands, but I know that finding the right one for you is difficult.

I'd personally recommend Loreal or Herbal Essences, they're got a wide variety of shampoos to choose from, just read the label and choose one for ';de-frizz';.
Well, if you have dry hair, I'd rather suggest you to use some shampoo and conditioner with fruit properties. For oily hair, go for some other products. Make sure you always get the reputed and branded product. Please consult a hair specialist once for sure.
You need something more for your hair other than perfumed shampoo's. Try nexus, its more of a product thats used in most salons. It makes my hair feel softer, and i sooo have the same problem.

:)
i use Pantene. It really works

herbal essences have really great shampoo/conditioner combos that are designed for specific hair types/ jobs! smells good too

I haven't personally but my ex girlfriend used to rave about it.
I used my girlfriend's Aussie Mega. It got rid of my dandruff. Good stuff.
yes it seems to work just as good as pantene, which i also use....i also like the smell of it better than pantene!
the 3 minute miracle is a really good conditioner and the slip detangler really works good also.
My friend, Celine. She has really thick hair and it's all glossy and wavy and stuff. It's nice.

I use CIBU and it works great. But my hairs more on the dry side..

My friend who has that problem uses caviar. I think you can only buy it at salons and online, but she raves thats its what helps. Its a little pricey though.
Try Head %26amp; Shoulders, the lemongrass one. It is made for oily hair, after using it, my hair feels softer and feels squeeky clean. Some other clarifying shampoo could strip too much oil from your hair, where you have to use a conditioner (which makes oily hair OILER!).

If in between hair washes, you can use dry shampoo (spray powder, it leaves oily hair feeling just-washed feeling, I swear by it!) , it doesn't irritate your scalp (but do do a patch test if you are ultra sensitive). good luck!
    Irish Spring- cheap too!
i have pretty oiled hair and v05 is pretty good but i find that when i use my little sisters no tangle no burn suave shampo it really makes it not oily and just doesnt have the awfull oil shine to it more of a natural shine hope that works for u
normally a clarifying shampoo will do the trick. Most lines carry their own.
I use sunsilk for oily hair its in a light blue bottle and you can get a conditioner spray with it.

My 7 yr old has to wash her hair everyday but it still looks clean at the end of the day. It does dry her scalp and she eeds to use a good dandruff shampoo every now and then too. She has short hair, i used it in mine which is medium length and no overly oily with out the conditioner spray and it was really hard to brush.
hey, I like aveda products for the scalp. Called Scalp benefits. I like to alternate between the camomile shampoo and scalp benefits shampoo. And I always use the scalp benefits conditioner. Aveda works great for my oily hair and very sensitive scalp, try it out!

Whats the best shampoo/conditoner you have used?

and whats the worst? which gives you a bad hair day lol :)

thanks everyoneWhats the best shampoo you have ever used?
I don't like dove. It always seems to weigh my hair down. My favorite is fructis or sunsilk anti-frizzWhats the best shampoo you have ever used?
I love love love burts bees super shiny shampoo. Ive only used it once at a friends house but it smelled soo citrus-y and made my hair sparkle. Ill never use suave for men ever again. I thought it would clarify my hair but all it did was make it frizzy. I guess boys dont need moister help because they usually dont dye/straighten/blowdry their hair everyday.
The best one for me is sunslik daring volume shampoo.
    sunsilk anti frizz
    best - S Factor

Worse - swave or whatever its called...

Is it true that if you mash up birth control pills and mix it into your shampoo it makes your hair grow?

theres no evidence or personal accounts to prove this works.

Really your best bet is to do everything you can to make it grow in healthy so you don't get split ends and have to get more then trims to make it look good.

Washing your hair every other day helps keep you natural oils in place so you hair doesn't get dry and break.

Putting a few small drops of peppermint oil in your shampoo with help increase the blood flow on your scalp and help get maximum growth.

Be careful with you hair and deep condition once a week.

Good luck!Is it true that if you mash up birth control pills and mix it into your shampoo it makes your hair grow?
no. you can't just make your hair grow like that. if that was the case you better believe there would be products out there you could buy with those hormones already in them.Is it true that if you mash up birth control pills and mix it into your shampoo it makes your hair grow?

I dont know much about organic stuff but I like to use herbal essence's drama clean. Its green tea with citrus and its to help get your hair really clean when it has not been washed in a while. and your hair will smell amazing!

  • Does dove shampoo and conditioner crap up dry hair? What about TRESemm茅?

I'm half black and half white with hair thats SUPER poofy and dry (really dry) and I flat iron my hair quite a bit because my hair looks a mess without it. I'm searching for something that will make my hair soft and manageable while adding mositure and a LOT of it. I'm debating between Dove and TRESemm茅Does dove shampoo and conditioner crap up dry hair? What about TRESemm茅?
i use TRESemme pros use it because after a while dove makes your hair dry

well i find and with TRESemme you cn find the perfect one for your hair

my aunty is a hairdresser and she uses it on he kids tooDoes dove shampoo and conditioner crap up dry hair? What about TRESemm茅?
First time I used dove it made my hair reeeaally soft I remember that but TRESemme is supposed to be quite a good shampoo and conditioner I have heard as it doesn't have all this crap in it which could damage your hair
its your chose but i choose tresemme because it leavers your hair softer but its your choose but i heard that tresemme is mor expensive
    I love them both!!!

    I switch off between them.

I can't decide which one is better. LOL.
I prefer Tresemme to dove. I have frizzy hair, and dove didn't do it for my frizz, but tresemme works.

Is AUSSIE a good brand to use for shampoo and conditioner?

i dunno much about them, but i've started using it recently because i ran out of my type and my sister leaves it in the shower.

i like it, i love the smell and my hair looks healthier and shinier. unfortunately, i have oilyish hair and i have to be careful to wash it daily when using aussie. if i miss even one day, it looks awful the next. my old shampoo i could miss one day and pull it back in its slight oilyness the next, but with aussie its wash it or ponytail plus baseball cap and don't let anyone touch ur hair.

i use the volumizing, and it does work well.

Does this shampoo help hair grow faster?

Does Pravana help hair grow faster?Does this shampoo help hair grow faster?
No shampoo's or conditioners will make your hair grow longer, just healthier. It may say it will but it won't, the same with vitamins, they just help your hair grow healthier.

Trimming your hair tips every 4-6 weeks makes your hair grow faster.Does this shampoo help hair grow faster?
i dont know. but i do know that if you massage your scalp while shampoo is in, it helps your hair grow faster.
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Does horse shampoo really make hair grow faster?

I heard that mane and tail works...but does this have any negative side effects?Does horse shampoo really make hair grow faster?
Yeah it makes your hair grow really fast. Also it makes your hair really shiny and soft. I use it all the time and I don't get any negative side effects.Does horse shampoo really make hair grow faster?
Well i ahd it.It was great. But it made my hair very greesy after awhile.
I have personally never used it but my friend is using it to grow her hair out for her wedding. She swears by it. She told me last week that her hair has grown over 3'; in 2 months. I guess it makes your hair coarse though.
that story has been going around for years, and it's not true. the conditioner is so heavy that it weighs hair down, giving the illusion of thicker longer hair, but it does not make hair grow faster.
    http://ngupta.qbeautyzone.com/
    never used it
i never heard of this why would ne 1 use horse hair wash is beyond me but good luck
well. my girlfriend is trying to grow her hair very long and a good friend of ours suggested horse shampoo as well. She said it works for her and her hair goes to the middle of her butt. She's a pretty politically aware vegetarian and uses mane and tail; I don't think she would if it wasn't okay.
i used it for a while. twas good when i just started but then it made my hair limp and a li'l greasy afterwards. and now it's a bit brittle. i know it's supposed to make it stronger but all it did for me was make the strands thicker.. and not the kind of thick strand that you'd want..(ok, people are now wondering how weird my hair looks like.. it's not that bad at all, but i don't like it as much as i did prior to using.. well.. something.)

now about making your hair grow faster.. i don't think so. not directly, at least. it [claims to] makes the hair thicker/stronger making it less prone to breakage and split ends that keep your hair from growing at a normal rate.

**try massaging your scalp every now and then.. stimulating it gets more oxygen to the cells on it making 'em work more efficiently, thus having naturally healthier hair.

ooh..i'm this much of a geek?? !@??#%$ bleh.
i dont think it has side effects...i guess yes it makes hair thicker and more healthy...aslo use multi vitamins if u need hair growth to b boosted

What Is A Really Good Uk Brand Shampoo For Curly Hair?

I have naturally curly hair and i love it so i just want too know what shampoo will get the best(most) out of my curlWhat Is A Really Good Uk Brand Shampoo For Curly Hair?
Treseme or toni and guy :)What Is A Really Good Uk Brand Shampoo For Curly Hair?
Well, I've learned that it's not necessarily the shampoo/conditioner you use, rather it's what you use after it that really matters...for curly hair at least. I used to not be able to wear my hair natural (curly) at all because I apparently wasn't using the right stuff - then I tried Frizz-Ease Dream Curls by John Frieda. Right after you wash your hair, towel dry it and use this stuff, and it works! (for me at least to make it less frizzy, more shiny, more curls) I love it and I've been using it forever.

    http://mp.hairboutique.com/_images/products/Dream_Curls_11161_350.jpg
Hey i have naturally really curly hair and i use toni and guy curl around shampoo and conditioners. Before i used them my hair used to be an absolute mess but now it's gone so much neater. Also i cannot live without l'oreal studio line curl power curling mousse- it's fantastic! I've used soooo many different types of hair mousses and this is by far the best because it's specially for curly keeping the frizz out too. When your hair is wet rub it in and leave for a few minutes to soak in. Then dry your hair with a hair dryer ( DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR AFTER YOU'VE GOT OUT OF THE SHOWER) and you should have shiny bouncey curls :)

i have a pic if u want to see how curly my hair is...

also, if u want volume, get a volumizing mousse and follow the directions it has on the back of it.

It usually tells u to blow dry ur roots with it in

hope that helpsDoes the body boost from garnier fructis shampoo/conditioner really work?
Styling and the right haircut will help your hair the most. Go to a real beautician (no Cost Cutters/ Super Cuts crap) and ask for help. Shampoo's like that are formulated to decrease buildup and make your hair ';lighter'; but nothing will change the fact you have thin hair.
Ive tried to many products for body boosting/volume and they never work for me. All depends of your hair type ( thick or thin ) Curly or Straight... Etc. Type of hair cut depends too..

See what your hair dresser recommends.

Some girls try teasing. Look it up online, very hard to explain.

  • What shampoo should i use for oily hair?

i dont need volumeizing shampoo, cause i have more than enough volume as it isWhat shampoo should i use for oily hair?
one that specificially says for oily hair. Herbal Essences revamped their line and they have a good one. What shampoo should i use for oily hair?
have oily hair like you described. ONe thing I was told by a stylist was if you have oily hair beware of conditioners! She says you need something light to condition your hair. She recommended herbal essence for oily hair for conditioner but I dont like it personally. Right now I am using the REdken cherry almond or sometimes Pantene for Brunettes and it seems to be working nicely and I use a spray on conditioner really lightly afterwards by thermasilk. It seems to work a bit better i use thermasilk conditioner in a bottle a few of those days. I have no idea if this will help but it seems to cut down on the days my hair gets very oily. Just remember when u use bottled conditioner do not i repeat do not rub it in your scalp just do the ends of your hair not the roots or it will cause your hair to be oily.
    Try Neutrogena.
The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Safeway, Kroger, Duane Reade, Albertsons, etc. You'll love it!

    Check it out!

try the Sebastian brands for all hair care!
Oily hair and/or dandruff can be treated easily and there are a lot of products out there that can help you a lot. Korres Sage %26amp; Nettle Shampoo for Oily Hair is $15 and balances the amount of oil your scalp produces (the reason why your hair may be oily). June Jacobs also makes a great citrusy shampoo that makes your hair feel, look, and smell better.

For more oily hair products, go to http://www.beautyexclusive.com/oilyhair.鈥?/a> because they have a lot of products there (including the two that I've just mentioned) that really do work. Plus, their price range is almost always under or around $20.

If i put some bleach in my shampoo will it make it lighter?

i have blonde hair right now and i want it lighter. If i put bleach in my shampoo will it make it lighter?

and if so what kind of bleach should i use?If i put some bleach in my shampoo will it make it lighter?
NO! it will make it scary white! try lemon juice in your hair when your in the sun. that works for me :]If i put some bleach in my shampoo will it make it lighter?
    noooo!

get sun in..it is a hair lightener that is only like 5 bucks at stores like safeway longs and walgreens

i had dirty blonde hair, and i bough some...and what you do is spray it in wet hair, brush it through, and then go outside in the sun and let your hair air dry...it is a gradual lightener so you can get your hair naturally lighter...and it gives good dimension too, i love my hair now! it has like golden natural looking highlights
I would think it would do a lot of damage to your hair. If you want it lighter just go to the store and buy Sun-In (which also isn't great for your hair). You could also dye your hair a lighter shade. I think you could also take a spray bottle and mix in water, leave in conditioner, and lemon juice. Spray on hair while out in the sun.
If you want to burn your scalp and dry out your hair, then add bleach!

    No seriously, dont do it!!!!

You can buy a product which is actually a mild bleaching spray (less potent than domestic bleach) called ';Sun In''...

You can add it in stages too if you like to get it gradually to how light you want...

Good luck BUT dont do the kitchen bleach stuff never ever!!!
No... dont do that... your best bet would be to buy either a colour moose or a high lightener such as sun in spray... both not quite as strong as a bleach but both work gradually!!

    http://www.ciao.co.uk/Alberto_V05_Colour鈥?/a>

    http://www.drugstore.com/qxp14973_333181鈥?/a>

    Hope this helps xx

p.s... dont use lemon juice... very damaging... plus a whole lot of other aspects come into it such as whether or not there is colorant in your hair already... length of time to keep it in depends on hair type and colour... tooo many things to consider!!!!!
nope...bleach is a powder tht needs peroxide to activate it so mixing with shampoo wont do sh铆t.

and also avoid sun in - uses a thing called metalic salts which can react badly to the hair.
Don't do that you will mess up your hair. Just go to the store and get a dye or go to a salon and get it done.
that will make your hair orange, depending on your natural color. Lemon juice can make your hair lighter, as well as getting highlights. i would NOT recommend that.
unless you wanna have carrot hair

    lemon juice helps

but i think the best it once or twice a week wash your hair with chamomile tea
ahhhh dont put bleach in you hair!!!!!!!!!! lemon juice yes. they have stuff in stores called touch of sun also.
Oh boy.....I'm not sure, but I think bleach might ruin your hair.

    Try lemon juice. It works.

What shampoo will make my dry hair soft but not greasy and thats not too expensive?

you could use head and shoulders. the one for dry hairWhat shampoo will make my dry hair soft but not greasy and thats not too expensive?
A basic coconut shampoo and conditioner will do your hair the world of good. Wash as normal using the coconut shampoo and then, if your hair is dry then put conditioner on the midlengths and ends and leave on for about 10 mins (dont put on your roots if you have problems with greasy roots) your hair should be looking better in no time :)

You can get the shampoo and conditioner from supermarkets like asda and tescos own brands range ... no need to spend the earth

hope this worksWhat shampoo will make my dry hair soft but not greasy and thats not too expensive?
dove! their conditioner and shampoo is amazing. Usually I use bedhead from the salon to repair my hair, but I was home and sneakily used some of my sisters dove shampoo in the shower and it's better than any salon quality stuff I've ever tried. My hair feels silky smooth and not greasy at all. Plus it had this energizing grapefruit scent... I'm hooked! about $4 at target (or any other drug store).
Its not so much the shampoo you use, its HOW you use it!

My mum took a hair dressing course.

With shampoo you dont scrub it into the scalp, thats what makes it greasy!

    Thats the solution!
    i agree with sarah !

Best Shampoo to achieve flatter silkier hair?

I have super thick frizzy hair, I want it to lay flat and smooth, I was told the best shampoo for this was Matrix, any other suggestions?

Ty for reading! :)Best Shampoo to achieve flatter silkier hair?
Em..... I would go to your hairdressers for advice and things and maybe you could get some there :)Best Shampoo to achieve flatter silkier hair?
Matrix is definitely the best and worth the money. I have waist length straight healthy hair and the only reason this is possible is because it is so healthy etc.

If your hair is healthy and full of protein it will naturally look silkier and sit flatter on your head. I have thick hair too but because it's so healthy it sits nice straight and flat.

So getting a good shampoo is important, the better condition your hair is in the less frizzy it will be as the hair won't be as damaged or coarse or split off (all the things that cause frizziness).

Another trick (although it sucks but it works) is when you have washed your hair before you step out of the shower rinse your hair under cold water in the shower.

What this does is it closes up the hair follicles so they are less frizzy, I also found getting a micro fibre towel and wrapping my hair up in it before I blow dry it helps.
I love the Aveda Brilliant line.

What shampoo works best with your hair?

My hair is naturally wavy and I want to know if the straightening shampoos actually workWhat shampoo works best with your hair?
Honestly if your not coloring your hair or getting highlights the shampoo brand doesn't really matter. It would be better to use all natural products, but it doesn't make a big difference. However if you do color your hair or get highlights your need to use a shampoo that will protect it, such as redken color guard. Hope I helped. What shampoo works best with your hair?
I have curly hair and i use head and shoulders. It doesn't keep my hair straight but honestly nothing will. On a hot day u step outside for 2 minutes and my hairs out of control. Hair straightener is the only thing that helps up to a 24 hour period.
for me,, straightening shampoo wont work, use conditioner(if you want to straigthen your hair and look shine until 24hrs).. i use pantene conditioner every day and i use head and shoulder shampoo every week.. to much shampoo can cause wavy!!!
i love paul mitchell products...i like their super skinny shampoo and conditioner...i use that when im going to flat iron my hair straight. i also like their super skinny serum to help the frizz go away. hope i helped...=)
Nope not that I've noticed. A moisturizing shampoo will weigh your hair down more which may give your hair a sleeker/straighter appearance though.
    no not rlly!

you can get it from the salon in your area or the salon at wal-mart or cvs. What shampoo is best for my hair?
One brand I truly like is Pantene. It cleans my hair beautifully, making it soft and light. It has not dried out my hair, and besides, like the way it makes my hair smell.

Try the formula that is matched to your hair problem and needs. Also, don't forget to use the conditioner. It will make your hair noticeably different. You may like it.
i use herbal essences drama clean (in the green bottle)

i like all the herbal essences shampoos and conditioners.

Do you guys know of any straightening shampoo taht actually works?

I really would apprecaite it if you guys would help me out on this one. Please tell me where to buy it and if it actually works because i am tired of using my straightner every day.Do you guys know of any straightening shampoo taht actually works?
I have naturally curly hair and I absolutely hate it. Unfortunately the curls are what makes my hair easy to style so there's no chance that I'll try chemically straightening it or the Japanese hair straightening method. I'm no expert on hair but I try to be an expert on my own hair. I use Bed Head Control Freak shampoo and conditioner which is primarily used for frizz control and hair straightener. Bed Head doesn't make my curls die but it does relax them and that's what straightening shampoo's generally do. But certain shampoos and conditioners work differently on each individual. I suggest that you speak to your hairstylist about that one. Also, I have to mention this - you don't want to flat iron your hair every day, even if it is ceramic. Although ceramic straighteners are better for you hair they'll still cause split ends - yuck. I've switched from using a straightener to using a blow dryer. Personal preference. Good luck!Do you guys know of any straightening shampoo taht actually works?
Matrix Sleek and Smooth works really well with my hair. Everyones hair is different. If you want straight hair, using your straightener is the best way to go. Talk to your hairdresser and see what she recommends for YOUR hair.

    :)
sunsilk anti- poof helps a little
Sorry hun but there isnt any magical product that will make your hair straight. The only thing you can do to make it straight is a flat iron, blowdryer or getting it chemoically straightened.
well i have straight hair and i started using john frieda's frizz ease straight ahead shampoo and conditinor and i have found it works well. it jumps starts my straight style right in the shower. the price tag of $5 to $6 a bottle is worth it for me.
I'm not sure if the Herbal essences straigtening shampoo works, but I use the other kinds and have never had a problem with any of there products.

beleive it or not the best thing for dry hair is not washing it. people in other countries always have gorgeous and soft hair because they dont wash it every day like us. use a moisturizing shampoo every other day or every two days. Then use a deep conditioner every night in the shower even when it is a day when you dont shampoo hair. garnier instant melting conditioner is good! sometimes in between hair washings your roots can sometimes get oily. to solve this sprinkle some baby powder on them and rub it in or buy a spray on baby powder like Psshhhh brand which you can buy at walgreens or other drug stores.

I recommend Pantene. It's sold in the larger markets like Mega Mart, Home Plus, etc. You can buy packages with shampoo and conditioner for around 10,000 won.

edit: They also have Head %26amp; Shoulders for about the same price. I never use Korean shampoo, so I can't help you there. What is a good but not-expensive shampoo/conditioner to buy in korea?

Best shampoo for both dandruff, lifeless hair?

I feel like it's impossible to find a shampoo to do all of this but: I am looking for a shampoo that smells amazing, leaves hair shiny, strengthens, gets rid of dandruff, doesn't leave hair greasy, + volumizes hair.

Some do most of what I need + others just do one or two of what I expect in a shampoo.

Any suggestions?Best shampoo for both dandruff, lifeless hair?
If you have dry hair, it's probably not dandruff but dead skin cells that had dried off and fallen off your scalp! Here's a test...part your hair to the side on the left, look for dandruff. Then part in the center. Along the hairline, is there dandruff? Then part to the side on the right. Again, along the hairline is there dandruff? If for all parts there was, that's probably dandruff, but I don't see how your hair could be dry and have dandruff, since dandruff is due to residue and oil glands...unless you use heat tools a lot. Well, what I'd do is to get the small, brown bottle of Neutrogena anti-dandruff treatment, that is a treatment not a shampoo or conditioner. Then I'd get a high moisture conditioner, shine serum, and lightly cleansing shampoo. The closest your going to get to a product that can do all those things is the Ojon deep conditioning treatment. It's expensive, but this is the product you want. It will do all of those things if you leave it in for about five minutes and then rinse it out with the coldest water you can get from your shower/bath faucet. I would recommend then applying to a comb and then brushing it through wet hair John Freida's Brilliant Brunnette, Blonde, or Randiant Red shine shock syrums.Best shampoo for both dandruff, lifeless hair?
Head %26amp; Shoulders makes a volumizing shampoo, but I've never used it before.

how about the new head and shoulders. there commercial is on tv all the time. They say its like there best product.
hello hydration made by herbal essences you can get it at wal-mart or almost any drug store
I reccomend head and shoulder that's the best for dandruff and it'salso good ti make hair nice shiny. and keep it healthy. There are specific types of head and shoulders i think you should use the one for hydrated hair. Also to get rid of your dandruff you have to shower daily for like 2 months and it will go away

Which shampoo and conditioner are touted as good for stopping hair loss?

I couldn't tell you the names of shampoos and conditioners, but I was hoping that this article would be a helpful place for you to start.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/MEDLINEPLUS/ency/鈥?/a>Which shampoo and conditioner are touted as good for stopping hair loss?
I've had hair loss issues before in the past and what I noticed is that as long as I used shampoos that were sulfate free (no sodium laureth sulfate, or sodium lauryl ether sulfate ingredients) I didn't have as much hair clogging the drain everytime I showered.

I use organic and natural hair products that I buy from places like Whole Foods or other health stores. Even the supermarket Stop and Shop carries organic and natural products.

BTW, Do NOT open the link in the previous message. The guy is total spammer and I've seen the same post in multiple other q/a's.Which shampoo and conditioner are touted as good for stopping hair loss?
The shampoo and the conditioner are not causing the hair to fall out.

You know that we all lose hair every day... as much as 80 to 100 hairs a day. That may seem like a lot, but it would take a little over 7 years to lose all your hair.

Your hair falls out and in a couple months, a new hair grows in that same follicle. It grows very fast, then slows down, and in about 4 to 7 years, it stops and falls out. Then it starts all over again. You cannot change this. As long as you are healthy, you are doing all that you can. NOTHING you put on the outside can affect what goes on inside your skin. The only thing that grows is someone's bank account. Remember that.
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm鈥?/a>

What is the best kind of clarifying shampoo?

like one to use every month to remove buildup and stuff?

which one is relaly good and why?

where can i get it, and how much does it cost?

thanks so much!!! :]What is the best kind of clarifying shampoo?
I really like aveda products. They have a shampoo/ conditioner duo called scalp benefits that cleans the hair and scalp well but, at the same time is gentle and leaves the hair soft, shiny and pretty. It's more like a daily shampoo though, not a once a month thing so your hair is more healthy

I think you can get it at most aveda salons, and if not probably through their website. I think it runs about 14 dollars a bottle for shampoo and conditioner each.

If that's too pricy, try the one by pantene from the local drug store. i've used that one too, but the aveda one is better.

My hair gets puffy and rough, and I want it to be smooth and thin. What should I do? Use a Different Shampoo?

Your hair needs lots and lots of added moisture.

    Try leave-in conditioners.

You can also buy a GHD straightener (very expensive, but so worth it) and after washing your hair and it is dry, spend 1/2 hair straightening it. It will be sleek and smooth until the next time you wash.
You can get your hair thinned out when you get it cut and then use a good shampoo like pantene pro v, they have a large variety of good shampoo lines if you dont want to buy salon products (those are the best)
use pantene 75% smooth and sleek shampoo and conditioner. i have naturally curly thick hair and it really smooths mine out and doesnt make it as thick
sunsilk, get the kind that says anti-poof shampoo it works promise and get the anti- poof moisturizer

    hope this helps!!!!!
I use straight to silk. It doesn't straighten your hair (stupid false label....) but it makes your hair soooo soft it is amazing! i noticed a difference after like what? 3 washes? its my BFF.
Garnier Fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner
bed head most definately out of all the shampoos ive EVER use thats definately the BEST
    try straightening it
    use sunsilk 24/7 creme.

yahIs Clairol shimmer light considered a good shampoo or cheap? Are the ingredients good for your hair?
It's not meant for everyday use, in fact, you should only need to use it once or twice with every lightening service you recieve. I would follow it up with a conditioner, it seems to dry out my hair a bit when I use it.

You can get the MSDS from the manufacturer if you want to know the chemical and ingredient breakdown.

For all the hairdressers out there- best shampoo for cheap?

VO 5 is good - just be sure to pair it with a VO5 conditioner as well. there are different types and they are VERY inexpensive. I even use Suave

and Pantene is pretty good too although a little pricier
    Suave
garnier frutis sleek and shine omg! it makes my hair do wonders!
I LOVE THERMASILK BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR HAIR ITS REALLY A MATTER OF WHAT WILL WORK FOR YOUR HAIR
definatly Aussie. it helps keep your hair hydrated and it rehydrates if you need to. plus have they have a whole ling of products. however you can also go to the hair salon and get redken for like 25.00... im not sure how much you want to pay but if your cheap and you want somthing that works awsome get aussie. you wont be disappointed.

you never mentioned your hair type but if you have frizzy hair get frizz ease by john freida. that works so well. its it will all be under 10.00

    good luck,

let me know what you ended up with,

    katie
Well if you don't mind spending $5-6 a bottle, then Pantene Pro-v Smooth and sleek.

But if that's too much, Tresseme is okay.

It just depends on your hair.
suave or pantene I love pantene because it is great and affordable, your hair is your everyday look. You can buy an ugly dress and put it in the back of your closet, but hair is there 24-7, make a good judgement

What shampoo/conditioner would make my hair really shiny?

-ThanksWhat shampoo/conditioner would make my hair really shiny?
Sunsilk and Herbel Essence work great for any thing; volume ,shine, anit friss and more. Rinsing your hair in cold water will also make it shiny. Anit friss products do the same thing too. What shampoo/conditioner would make my hair really shiny?
Try Pureology. It's a great all-natural line that if used consistently, will improve your hair in a week. It's a little on the pricier side, but because it does not contain all of the salts and additives of most products, it lasts FOREVER. You really get your money's worth. Report Abuse

If your hair has highlights, you could use ';Shimmer Lights'; shampoo and conditioner.... When you use the conditioner, leave it in for about 10 minutes before rinsing. It's good for the hair and it hides any brassiness the hair may have and makes it look very shiny. Report Abuse

Sunsilk ThermaShine or L'Oreal Vive Nutri Gloss
    Pantine

    Jonh Freida

also try hair serums they work really good
John Frieda is a good brand, almost salon quality without salon spendage.

If you can afford to spend, try a pricier brand like Bumble and Bumble or salon brands like Biolage.
Hi, I've just recently changed from black hair to blonde. This caused a bit of damage to my hair (Even though the hairdresser was absolutely fantastic), since then I've been using the sunsilk colour range. They have several different products (Including shampoo and conditioner) that you can use for blonde, brunette or red hair. They not only add shine they also improve the condition. Not only this but they are also very inexpensive. I would really recommend them. They are fantastic.

My shampoo and conditioner isn't strong enough to have an effect on my hair?

I want something better, but I don't know what to use. Here's what it has to be like:

    - it has to make my hair shinier, silkier, more managable.

    - it CAN'T be light, it has to be really ';heavy duty stuff';

    - it has to be strong enough to be effective on very thick hair

    - it has to work on frizz too

    - it should be worth the price

If you know a shampoo like this, please tell me! Or even better, you can tell me a way of making my hair better in some other way. Thanks! My shampoo and conditioner isn't strong enough to have an effect on my hair?
to me i think the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner u can use is garnier fructis. it is good for all types of hair. it makes ur hair nice %26amp; smooth, shiny %26amp; soft. theirs different products with it for frizz or straight hair.My shampoo and conditioner isn't strong enough to have an effect on my hair?
bumble and bumble- gentle shampoo and super rich conditioner...you can probably go on their website and find a salon in your area that sells it. it's hard to find though, it's a very high end line-but way worth the money..it's the thickest conditioner I've ever used-it's kept my hair in shape despite all the bleaching and coloring
To tell you the truth...shampoo and conditioner aren't going to have a huge affect on how manageable or how frizzy it is. That is an area that a styling product will do wonders. If your hair feels particularly dry or damaged, that's the area that shampoos and conditioners will help. If your hair is colored, make sure you go with something for color-treated hair (ones in drugstores are ok, but ones in salons are better). In salons, a lot of times there will be a specific option for dry/damaged hair. Usually a shampoo and deep conditioner set, that work well together. It all depends on the brand. The ones I use and love are made by a company ';Framesi'; (an italian company). They are both part of their ';options'; line. The shampoo is ';Indulge'; and the conditioner is ';revive';. You should only use the conditioner once a week, because too much protein can make your hair brittle.

As far as styling products, you'll need to find products that are tailored to the problems you are specifically having with your hair. You mentioned frizz...Framesi makes an awesome product called ';way smooth';. It's an awesome smoothing creme that can be used on both wet and dry hair, and it's a little heavier, so it helps with thick and textured hair.

    Hope this helps!
you have to buy expensive stuff, not the ones available at Wal-Mart. Try Kerastase 2.
Getting your hair thinned will help. But you can't just get it done every once in awhile. You have to maintain it. I have very, very thick hair that's curly, and that helps.

I use Frizz-Ease products -- the rehydrating conditioner, not just the normal conditioner. And it has made an unbelievable difference on my hair. Not expensive, but good. For more expensive salon products, I like Matrix's smoothing system -- it's in orange bottle and has a citrus-y scent. The extreme smoothing creme is fabulous.

How many of you use herbal essences shampoo, does it really work, if not which is the best?

JUST some RANDOM question so i can choose a shampoo and maybe help other people find a good one too.How many of you use herbal essences shampoo, does it really work, if not which is the best?
I used to use herbal essences a few years back but several hairdressers told me it contains a product that creates build up on the ends of your hair which obviously is not good for your hair. When you comb your hair if you notice it harder to comb through the ends thats due to the build up.

I now use sunsilk and have for years. How many of you use herbal essences shampoo, does it really work, if not which is the best?
Well, it is very nice smelling, and i find it foams very well, and it works great for me. But the condiotioners are VERY creamy and strong so don't over do it!!!!

The happy go loopy, curly shampoo Is good for me because I have nautraly wavy hair. But they have many other types.
I do! It really works good,it gets all the tangles out,and smells good too!
I use herbal essences shampoo...and i don't really see a difference in my hair after using it for about a month or so. But i does smell DELICIOUS!
i used to use it. ......it smells really nice but it doesn't leave your hair as nice i like it. i use pantene pro-v and it work so nice and smells great! hope this helped:)

Which shampoo do you use on your baby?

I use Johnson's Soothing Naturals Shampoo and Body Wash on my 1 month old daughter, but my mom uses Aveeno Baby on her 6 month old son, so I'm curious on what others use.Which shampoo do you use on your baby?
Johnson's I don't know the name of it but it's in the purple bottle and it has the lavender in it...we love it!!Which shampoo do you use on your baby?
I was using the Eucerin baby wash, but now I use the Aveeno Baby wash and shampoo on my son. I use that only cause my son has dry skin. Its great, i love the stuff! it def. has improved my son's skin.
I have always used Johnson and Johnson either lavender or the regular on my son. I think it's totally up to you and what you want to use on your child.
i switch between j%26amp;j or nioxin my hair stylist told me to try it when my first born had cradle cap and i loved it it works great for cradle cap. so i switch every other bath. so cradle cap does not return
Both of them are meant for babies and work well. It's just a matter of what you prefer and you think works best for your baby.
u can use any really but babys have the most sensitive skin so if u keep changing ur products ur baby might have allergic reaction.ive always stuck with johnsons baby shampoo also the johnsons baby bed time bath is very good.
J %26amp; J regular bath shampoo for my son, use night time one incase I gave him bath during night..

So far it is good for his skin
Johnsons' soothing naturals or avalon organics.
Burts Bees baby bee or Californa baby
Most of the time I use the bedtime bath as I bathe him at night. We use regular J%26amp;J baby shampoo for the daytime.
I use the regular johnsons baby shampoo.Works great.
    baby magic, smells wonderful.

Shampoo/ Conditioner that actually works for dry hair?

i use the hydrating stuff but my hair is still dry. any tips?Shampoo/ Conditioner that actually works for dry hair?
Maybe try changing shampoo and conditioner every once in a while.

At the moment I use herbal essences, long term relationship shampoo and conditioner and it works great for my hair, what I do is~

Tip: Don't leave shampoo in because it dries out your hair

1: Shampoo twice and then get out of the shower, get changed and put a towel around your neck for step 2

2: Make sure your hair is out and is on the towel so your clothes don't get damaged.

3: Get your conditioner and put it on your hair well still wet, like you are putting it on in the shower and then once your whole head is full of it, especially your ends, wrap it up in the towel and wait an hour

4: Rinse it out in lukewarm water and let it air dry.

5: You will have silky hair but make sure there are no knots or left-over products in your hair so that way there are no oil clumps or bad smells and so on..............

6: EnjoyShampoo/ Conditioner that actually works for dry hair?
Shampoo cleans hair, that is all it can do. But drugstore shampoo has really harsh chemicals that dry out your hair. If you have to use it, use Aussie, they have less harsh chemicals and wax. But only salon quality shampoo can really help you. Conditioner from the drugstore doesn't really do anything either. I suggest Fashonista by Catwalk, and any Matrix conditioner.
umm..use oil before washing and don't use too much of shampoo...!?!

Is it ok to use human shampoo for cats?

would it be ok to use dishwashing liquid?

    would u recomment anything?

or should we get those shampoo for cats?Is it ok to use human shampoo for cats?
i think you should use shampoo for cats ... cause after all it is made specially for cats so if your not shure don't risk it .. but you could always ask a vet and it won cost you a penny or you can try going onlineIs it ok to use human shampoo for cats?
it is NOT ok to use human shampoo for any animals it could acually hurt them... i wouldnt use dishwasher liquid either... i reccomend that you go to a vet or a animal medical place and buy the shampoo there but if there is a person you dont know trying to sell it to you then dont buy it it might have something in it that could kill your pet...even if you go to a pet store then buy it there it would be absolutly fine for an example Agway in New York would be a goood place to go to...
Do not use dishwashing liquid on a cat. It's too harsh for the fur and skin. If you have to use any human shampoo, use diluted baby shampoo and rinse very very well.

We had to wash our long haired cat twice (long and very silly story) and found that a thimble of baby shampoo diluted with about 3 to 4 cups of warm water did the trick of washing tree sap from her. The rinsing took the longest part but it was well worth it.

I would avoid some of those fancier human shampoos as they tend to contain a lot of chemicals and fragrance which your cat will then lick off (bleah).

If you want to get a special cat shampoo then that is also fine but be prepared to pay quite a bit for one. One cat I had had feline eczema and so needed a special tar based (yes, tar based) shampoo. A little 100mL bottle set me back $25.00...and that was back in 1980!
No it isn't. Cats have even more sensitive skin than dogs %26amp; dogs can't be bathe in ppl shampoos either. Buy a good pet shampoo that is safe to use on cats. It will say on the label - the best ones to buy do not contain soap or detergent. Do not buy the cheap grocery store brands. Ppl shampoos %26amp; detergents contain sulfates %26amp; other irritates like perfumes %26amp; ETOH that shouldn't used on pets only humans.
Best to get cat shampoo (not dog/puppy). If you use human shampoos, then get the quality kind like Pantane, Nexxus, etc.

Dawn dish soap is sometimes used for a quick flea bath before you get the flea medication from the vet (like when you need to get fleas off a cat that you've just brought in the house).

I show cats and my cats have been washed in Nexxus for years with no problems. If you know what kind to use, you are safe.
No! Do not use human shampoo or dish washing liquid. Both are too drying for the cat's skin. WalMart, Pet Smart, PetCo, etc. all carry a variety of cat shampoo's. Why exactly are you having to shampoo your cat? I've owned cats for 32 years and have only bathed my cats when they had fleas once or twice. Cats are very clean and will take care of their own washing. The only exception to this rule is for long haired cats need grooming. Grooming consists of brushing or combing. If in doubt, call the vet for advice.
no because it could make them sick or even die. don't do that to you cat ok that's bad for them and it makes their hair stick up badly .

remember this ok. do not use dish washing liquid because it could kill them badly.

Can you wash your hair with shampoo/conditioner the night before you get your hair dyed?

    absolutely-it won't do a thing :)

-sorry I had to add on to this after I read everyone's answers. Hair color will take to your hair regardless if there's natural oils or squeeky clean. If it's permanent color, or bleach-that stuff is strong enough to cut through your hairs cuticle..it can handle the cleanliness or lack of in your hair. If it's a demi or semi permanent some stylists will wash it before application anyway. I think some people need a few hours of beauty school before they answer your question with some crazy answers lol :)Can you wash your hair with shampoo/conditioner the night before you get your hair dyed?
OF COURSE!!! they will wash it anywayz when u get there...but ur supposed to have clean hair when u go!Can you wash your hair with shampoo/conditioner the night before you get your hair dyed?
    YES
    you shouldn't

    the colour will take better if your hair is ';several days old';
    yes
you can but the dye will take to your hair better if you don't.
That is not a good idea it strips your hair. So I think you should wait unless you just have to Shampoo your hair.
    Yes:D

I think they say not to wash it though, because the natural oils in your hair help take the color better.
u can, of course, bleach and color can rip thru anything, but the color takes better if u dont, about a day is all u need of unwashed hair. the reason is that u want the hair shaft nice and open to accept the color. lets say u shampoo and condition then go get ur hair colored. u use warm water to rinse with which opens ur hairs cuticle. then condition and use cooler water rinse and that closes ur hair cuticle (which is what u should be doing) u want the cuticle to be open to accept the color better. anywho long story short, wait a day to before u get ur hair colored.
yes, but its best not to wash it within 24 hours of getting it dyed.
Yeah that's fine. They'll do it before they dye it at the salon anyway.
your suppose to wait 24 hours after shampooing, but at same time, you dont want products (gels, sprays etc.) in your hair when you dye it ,,,,
yes, but it tends to take a little better when your hair is not so clean
    yeah.....
you can, but the quality of the dye is increased when you don't.
    Depends

    are u emo?
If your having your hair dyed, then i dont think it matters, but i've heard if your going to bleach your hair, it works better if its not washed.
You know- the at home directions always so to put it on hair that has not recently been washed. I use so much product in my hair0 if I do not wash it first the color would never adhere. I've washed before hand- all my life. So I think your OK.
it would make it better. it would get rid of all the dirt and crap in your hair making it easier to die...just make sure you get out all of the shampoo/conditioner throroughly
    HELL NO GIRL, R U C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!!!!!

  • What is the best name brand shampoo, but inexpensive too?

I can't believe that I'm answering a shampoo question. Buy the generic brands of your favorite salon shampoo. My wife was a chemist for a manufacture here in S.Ca and its all the same. They would fill an order for the salon product then fill an order for the generic with the same shampoo. The same goes for body washes.

Drugs too. There is no difference in the generic over the name brand drugs. The generic brand my use a different coating on the pill but thats it.What is the best name brand shampoo, but inexpensive too?
Suave and V05 seem to be cheapest at 99 cents a bottle. I've tried a million shampoos and they all seem to work the same on me! the only ones I'd stay away from are the 2in1's they leave my hair dry and tangly. =-)What is the best name brand shampoo, but inexpensive too?
Shampoo is like perfume, a very personal choice.

I have fine hair. I like ';Vive Pro';, because since I started using it, it cuts down on breakage, and prevents split ends. It costs about $3.79 per 16 oz.
    Tresemme has a great reputation.
Dove was the best all-time cheapie shampoo and conditioner. Always condition, most important part for your hair!
    pantene pro v is good.
If you have straight hair then use Pantene. It is wonderful!
Depends on your hair I think.

I like John Frieda and the SunSilk products.
    John Frieda
Paul Mitchell is really good, and relatively inexpensive, so is Biolage. Another cheap name brand is Regis, but I hate their shampoos, it makes me itch.
Clynol shampoos are good and cost at the price of 拢7.50 and over you can only get these shampoos at a salon.
I swear by Herbal Essences - Very affordable, leaves my hair soft and workable, AND it smells great!

OK people what is ur favorite shampoo and conditioner to use on ur hair?

herbal essences the volume one. it smells so good, and it makes my hair look thick! awesomeOK people what is ur favorite shampoo and conditioner to use on ur hair?
don't use anything with alcohol in the first 3 ingredients because it can do alot of damage to your hair it causes frizz, and massive amounts of breakage to the hair. These products work they are amazing I promise they will make your hair soft smooth silky and, full of vibrance.

    Herbal Essences....
l'oreal works very well. especially the one with pearl extract :)
Sunsilk Anti Poof! It smells uber good and keeps my hair healthy. :)
    Cantu shampoo and conditioner
    Biolage....but I've recently switched to Carol's Daughter....it's really good!!!
biologe err something along those lines of spelling
I have curly hair so I have to use TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock products, or I'll switch to Redken Color Extend when my hair gets used to the Curls Rock stuff.
I really like the Sun and Silk stuff, but i still stick to the Herbal Essences! The scents are just awesome and i dont feel like i get build up on my hair! as well it makes it so soft and shiny!! i also think it makes my hair easier to straighten!!
Garnier, Herbal Essance, and Matrix. luv em.
hmm... my personal fav. is herbal escence!!! it smells awesome XD
I love Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky shampoo, and Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner. I've recently just started using Herbal Essences' strengthening shampoo and conditioner, Long Term Relationship, because I'm growing out my hair, and I absolutely LOVE it so far.
    sunsilk shampoo

    pantine pro-v conditioner
    i like dove
    Garnier%26amp;Herbal Essances.
Aussie it smells good and makes your hair shine

Which is better to do first - shampoo or conditioner?

Does it make any difference? I usually shampoo after I use conditioner because shampoo has a stronger scent than conditioner, and I want my hair to smell good throughout the day.Which is better to do first - shampoo or conditioner?
I have very thin hair, so I condition first. Thin hair is prone to being weighed down by conditioner. If I put the conditioner on after shampooing, no matter how hard I rinse, my hair still feels a little lifeless. That being said, hair still needs conditioner so I put it on before, let it set for a couple of minutes, rinse out, then shampoo. Works great for thin hair and as I have moved around I have had a few great stylists and all have told me the same thing.

If you have thick hair or frizzy hair, I would say your best bet is to stick with the norm and shampoo first, then dry.Which is better to do first - shampoo or conditioner?
Your supposed to shampoo, then condition.

When I wash my hair and squeeze the water out after rinsing the shampoo and put the conditioner in and leave it on for about a minute and you can still smell it thoughout the day.

Or you can buy a leave in conditioner and put that in after you get out and that would make your hair smell really nice.
    well, idk

i shampoo first, because shampoo cleans your hair

then i use conditioner because it like makes it softer and stuff

then if you want it to smell good, idk, like get some spray stuff to spray your hair with to make it smell good.

    good luck

    :D
I usually shampoo then condition because that is what it says on the bottle....although maybe you should try a 2 in 1 bottle or try a stronger conditioner but it shouldn't matter that much i suppose
shampoo then condition so that your hair will be soft, smooth, silky, and shiny throughout the day.

i use a two in one though and then use conditioner again so that my hair won't be tangled or frizzy
Shampoo. Shampoo is to clean your hair. Conditioner makes it soft. I don't know if it actually makes a big difference though.
Shampoo 2 times and then leave ue conditioner on 4 like 5 min ! Good luck

Is it bad for mixing a shampoo and conditioner?

is it bad to use garnier sleed and shine shampoo

and then follow up with strength and repair conditioner

is it badIs it bad for mixing a shampoo and conditioner?
your hair will fall out. i'm kidding, no it makes no difference. shampoo companies tell you that you should use their products together but that is just a marketing tool. there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to mix and match however you like with different brands. Is it bad for mixing a shampoo and conditioner?
The conditioner simply dilutes the cleaning agents in the shampoo. So, you get a little more conditioning and a little less cleaning. But, if your hair feels clean %26amp; soft afterwards, then it works for you. If you notice your scalp is flaking or itching in between shampoos, you might try going 100% shampoo, every now and then.
It depends on the ingredients; If Garnier contains any of these toxins, don't use it:

No, it's actually a huge time saver. Just make sure you leave the mixture in for about five minutes so the conditioner can take its full effect on the hair.
Not at all! I do this all the time myself. It's perfectly normal and actually good for your hair!!! Hope I helped!!!!

  • Can I take a full size shampoo bottle in my checked in luggage? and tylanol?

I know the carry on rules ... but I looked all over the internet and airline websites to see if I can take my full size shampoo and conditioner as well as Tylenol and motrin (for my 6 yr old) in my checked in bag? and my husband's pills as well in which he don't have the original bottle but i read that meds don't have to be marked???Can I take a full size shampoo bottle in my checked in luggage? and tylanol?
All that stuff is fine. However airlines recommend that personal medications should be in your carry-on bag. If your luggage is lost and the medications are in it, you could be in a pickle. Personal meds are fine in your carry-on.Can I take a full size shampoo bottle in my checked in luggage? and tylanol?
Yes you can take the pills and bottles in your checked luggage. They only care what you take in your carry on. I did not have the original prescription bottles in my carry on either last time I flew, and they rush you so fast through security nobody seemed to care. When I put liquid bottles in my checked luggage, I always put them in a large baggie because sometimes the air pressure in the plane makes them leak.

Difference between cheap shampoo and other shampoo?

I usually use Vive Pro shampoo. It is around $6-7 at the store. Yesterday I went out to buy more but only had cash so I bought White Rain shampoo for $1. It smelt so much better than the Vive Pro, and it made my hair softer. What is the difference between these shampoos? Why is one $7.00 and one is $1.00?Difference between cheap shampoo and other shampoo?
cheap shampoo have total 100% chemicals

other shampoos have ingredients which are good for hair

////Difference between cheap shampoo and other shampoo?
Less ingrediants in it, it weighs less, less vitamins for your hair and hair growth.
It depends on if you keep your hair short or long, %26amp; if you color it!!

If you keep your hair short and its natural color then its okay to use the cheaper shampoo's.. However if you color your hair %26amp; or keep it long then you need a better shampoo...

Honestly, what happens is cheaper shampoos have a striping ingredient in them.. They do not deposit moisture, or safe gaurd color.. The brands such as Redken %26amp; Matrix are designed with the best ingredients leaving hair soft and gaurded.. Pantene, V05, etc. also advertise their products to safe-gaurd color %26amp; retain moisture, but I always had a problem with them...
it all comes down the the PH balance of the different shampoos. Cheaper shampoos might make your hair feel softer short-term, but they will throw off the PH balance of your hair leading to more split-ends and breakage later....it is okay to use the cheapie stuff REALLY short term, but stick with the more expensive stuff long term for the health of your hair...think about it this way, what you are spending on shampoo, you have saving in haircuts and vice-versa.
More expensive shampoo has better ingredients and usually less chemical ingredients, so in the long run its better for your hair. To get super shiny hair use an expensive yet professional shampoo.
Maybe it's more expensive because of the brand. You should buy things that are best for your hair.
    more nutrients for your hair
It really just depends on how each works in your hair. Just because the shampoo is expensive doesn't necessarily mean it's the best for your hair. I've tried suave and pantene pro v and suave works better in my hair. The pantene has something in it that makes my hair dry and frizzy. It just depends on your hair type.
well depends how cheap, if you mean like tesco value or something for about 50p and then expensive salon shampoos, then ther is alot of difference! the really cheap stuff ususlly contains aload of crap,

the really expensive stuff tends to have better ingredients and are more condenced

you don't have to splash out on the salon stuff though to get a good shampoo , because you can get quality cheap stuff too, even supermarkets have their own version of good shampoos, copies are the leading brands that are good, just stay away from the 50p stuff!
If You Compare The Ingredients On The Labels There Is Really Little Or No Difference In The 'Expensive' Brands And The Cheaper Brands Except How Much Money The Manufacturers And Distributors Make On The Products. Even The Salon Brands Are Resorting To Cheap 'Silicone Laden' Junk With A Microscopic Amount Of 'Active' Ingredients, Often Less Than The Amount Of Fragrance. Use What Works Best For Your Hair And Don't Fall For Fancy Labels, Packages, Fragrances, And High Priced Products.

Does herbal essences totally twisted shampoo work?

I have straight hair and i really want curly hair. i went to the salon and they didnt do my perm correctly. so now i was wondering. does the herbal essences totally twisted shampoo really make your hair curly? and if it does do i just wash my hair with it and it will get curly?Does herbal essences totally twisted shampoo work?
Now, please do not use herbal essence it is so bad for your hair, and all it is it fragrence oils, and yeah it does smell good, but thats all. did you know? there are lawsuits against herbal essence because people have there hair fallen out, i used it for two days, and then heard of the lawsuit and stoped, and now, my hair it falls out really easy just for a light tension, and its really scarying me, i recommend tresemme or therma silk, seriously do not use herbal essence, it is really bad for your hair. you can straighten you hair instead, but please, if you know whats best don't use herbal essences. all it is it fragrence oils that why it smells so good.Does herbal essences totally twisted shampoo work?
    No, it sucks....
yes, it does all you have to do is wash your hair w/ it and put the totally twisted moose in and it will bve curly. It worked on my friend who has bone straight hair.
No it doesn't make straight hair curly. It's made for hair that is already wavy to help maintain the curl.

Could using Head n shoulders shampoo cause hair loss?

I noticed that i started losing alot of hair on top of my scalp,my dandruff is gone if i use the shampoo daily.Im afraid that maybe the chemicals in it are causing this reaction.Anyway i quit using it 3 days ago my dandruff is back now and my hair gets oily so fast at the roots.I been using frutis for the last 3 days, like i said my dandruff is back and my hair is still falling out just not as rapidly. Can someone please recommend a gentle shampoo that treats dandruff and doesn't dry out the hair ?Could using Head n shoulders shampoo cause hair loss?
Yes because Head %26amp; Shoulders contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS). These are corrosive ingredients and are used in household and commercial cleaners such as car wash soap, engine degreaser, and garage floor cleaners. It is said to attack your hair follicles and interfere with hair growth.

Let me know if this information was helpful! :)Could using Head n shoulders shampoo cause hair loss?
Ahh!!! Don't use head and shoulders every day. Once or twice a week, tops... I wouldn't use fructise, either, go buy a purifying or clarifying shampoo.. This'll get rid of the excess oils in your hair. The reason you're having dandruff is because the excess oils in your hair are irritating your scalp... I had this same problem when I was 16... My hair dresser recommended a shampoo, I think it was redken and it came in a black container, I highly recommend going to your stylist and having them recommend something for hair of your type! Good luck!
i dont think its the shampoo, i think its your hair

are you tying back relaly tight? that could loosen the roots

are you using a lot of chemicals? that could factor in also

dont use any chemicals/styling products for a few days and see how things go

NO....THATS WHY THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUBBLE BATH AND SHAMPOO...
Ew, buy bubble bath it's like a dollar.
i do it all the time when i need to relax and i use the type that smells good i mean its like almost the same thing if you cash your head with it then yes because when you wash your hair with it and you wash the shampoo out you get it on your skin so it shouldnt do anything it hasnt to me unless you are very sensitve in that area or let me rephrase that if you have sensitive skin

    :]

    lol

im gonna take one now :]
I don't think it's a problem, unless your skin is sensitive
no it should be fine it's no different than using a bar of soap to cleanse your area.

What does specialized hair color shampoo supposed to do?

like for brunettes, blondes or red headsWhat does specialized hair color shampoo supposed to do?
If it's for color treated hair then it helps preserve the color so it doesn't fade too quickly.

It could also be used to make your own hair color more vibrant. My hair is black with a natural brown tint and I used to use shampoo for color treated hair and it always brought out my brown highlights.

  • Who makes Dark blue coloured shampoo for dark hair?

Hello, I had a blueberry shampoo by Toni and Guy which was dark blue in colour and helped to darken my hair. They dont make it anymore. Does anyone know of who makes dark blue colured shampoo that helps to darken hair? Or keeps dark hair dark?

ThanksWho makes Dark blue coloured shampoo for dark hair?
john freida, pantene pro-v, and tresemme all make lines of hair shampoo that are made specifically for certain hair colors. I use the pantene pro-v for red hair (called hair expressions), and it preserves my red hair color a little longer than just using a normal shampoo. It does not deposit color however... which is a bummer. Freeman has a shampoo and conditioner combo that states that it does, unfortunately I don't know much about it as the one I saw was for dark brown and not something I was interested in.Who makes Dark blue coloured shampoo for dark hair?
    try tresemme?

Is there any good shampoo ( that I can buy easily on stores, not those ?
If you are experiencing baldness, there is no remedy or shampoo that can help. They are a ripoff. See a dermatologist.

If you are doing something to your hair that is causing it to fall out, like a really tight weave or braids, stop it.I think I am beginning to lose hair. Is there any good shampoo ( that I can buy easily on stores, not those ?
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. Is it ok to use Shampoo everyday? Will it ruin the hair?

Is it ok to use Shampoo everyday? Will it ruin the hair?Is it ok to use Shampoo everyday? Will it ruin the hair?
actually it depends on the shampoo u use...

i used to wash frequently with shampoo since past 2 yrs....

i have not problem loosing hair or something...

    but use good quality shampoo..

good luckIs it ok to use Shampoo everyday? Will it ruin the hair?
yes, you're taking away all the good oils you're supposed to have on your scalp. so you will have greasier hair because you body will produce extra oil. try not to Wash your hair for the next 3 days (i know it's hard). and then wash it every 2days.
Try using it every other day.
unless you want to get bald quick, do it every weekend

Do I need to use Shampoo every day?

Should I wash my hair with Shampoo every day, or should I only clean my hair with shampoo 4-5 times a week.Do I need to use Shampoo every day?
It depends on what type of hair you have. If it's oily i guess you have to shampoo everyday, just use mild shampoo.Do I need to use Shampoo every day?
washing your hair everyday strips your scalp of its natural oils. Washing your hair on a daily bases is not good for your scalp. A scalp with out natural oils is more susceptible to dandruff. Dandruff is just your scalp sloughing off dead skin. With out natural oil your scalp will get dry and itchy. Try to wash your hair 3 times a week. Conditioning your hair you can do as much as you want but give your hair a break maybe 6 times a week depending on how oily your skin is.
I personally think that would be a good idea to shampoo each day.
Your answer is easily researched using any search engine on the internet. From the various sites I have read they don't recommend shampooing every day. Cleaning your hair every day (assuming you don't work in a dirty environment) can actually cause your scalp to be over stimulated and produce more oil. Shampoos can strip your hair also.
It's good to clean your hair everyday but every other day could be fine too. The older you get is the more your going to need to wash your hair because it will tend to get greasy faster.
4-5 times a week. just make sure it doesnt look greasy :D

washing it every day can ruin your hair
i would try using it every other day, to see if it works or not!! use conditioner the days you DON';T use shampoo, to keep your hair smelling fresh and clean:)
I shampoo my hair every other day, and I'm fine...
Hey! You can do whatever you like. I would usually shampoo my hair every second day, but that's just me. You should do whatever makes you feel clean. 4-5 times is pretty good.

    Hope this helps! :)
no you use shampoo twice thrice in week
Every other day as washing every day has the tendency to dry out your scalp!
you should use shampoo and conditioner every time you take a shower or bath
It's really not that good to wash ur hair every day but if you went somewhere where it was dusty then you should wash ur hair. if you didn't then wash ur hair only 3 to 4 times a week.
depends on your hair and how oily and dirty it gets.I have fine hair so it looks aweful if i don't wash it atleast every 2 days.
Use it everyday or else it looks greasy.
depends on how active you are. But you don't have to wash it every day.

every other day is better for your hair
yes it cleans ur oily hair
Not necessarily. Some people say it leads to healthier hair. But me, I hate having dirty hair, mostly because my hair gets really oily. So I wash it everyday.
depends on what you do, how sweaty your head gets etc

if you are showering every day, what would be your reason for not cleaning the whole body with soap?
every day, unless you like having nasty hair, it gets very dirty and greasy
yes you should if your hair is extremely oily but if not its unecessary...it can also damage your hair.
Every ones hair is different. Some wash daily with shampoo, some do not wash their hair daily. What have you been doing? Has it been working for you? If you find it dries out, you may just want to try washing it every other day, and or switching shampoos.
Water is the universal solvent. You don't really ever need shampoo unless something really nasty is in your hair.
you're only supposed to wash your hair every other day otherwise you strip your hair of any vitamins or oils that it needs to be healthy and shiny.

certain hair types and textures only require washing once a week, where others work well washing 2 to 3 times a week
You don't need to everyday because for some people it can get rid of all of the moisture in your hair and make it frizzy. If you have greasy hair you should use it everyday.
no. once, twice a week is plenty. but the shampoo companies want you to buy more of their product so will tell you to shampoo as much as TWICE a day.
YES!!! If you want to have clean hair!
I wash mine with shampoo everyday. I think it keeps your hair cleaner. It is recommended you only wash your hair once a day to keep a natural balance of oils. So yeahh thats a good idea.(:
u should shower with body wash and shampoo every day
wash it everyday or else it would look greasy and gross
