where would one get this swimmer's shampoo? target? walmart? where?? Report Abuse

head n shoulder is nice n fragrant.
Neutrogena Rain is great but they also make a shampoo just for swimmers, although I cant remember the name! :(
matrix
is the texture of your hair changing, more tangles, changing color? if so you could try malibu 2000 for swimmers or if its not thay bad you could use baking soda mixed with your shampoo to help keep the chemicals down. you can also ask your local stylist for a demineralizer for your hair. it helps remove the build up. some tips are always wash your hair after you swim don't wait till it dries then wash, if you can wet your hair before you swim and apply some conditioner that will help keep the minerals from attaching to the hair as easy. good luck
After-Swim is an anti-chlorine shampoo. Also, wet your hair in the shower before getting in the pool. Your hair will absorb less chlorine that way.
Is it that your hair is getting rough? You could use Infusium 23 to replenish neutrients, and A shampoo to get rid of chlorine buildup like the other posters said.

Dove Intense Damage Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner?

If you have normal hair, slightly dry, and you use dove intense damage therapy, shampoo and conditioner, will it make your hair very soft and everything?Dove Intense Damage Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner?
I have been using dove since 6 -7 years and my hair is very silky and shining ( like those of girls) LOL. But trust me i get lot of compliments from ppl about my hair. My friends are so jealous and recently i went to get a haircut in a famous saloon here in my country and even the hairdresser over there loved my hair. It makes ur hair soft and even repairs it.Dove Intense Damage Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner?
it does help. and takes a few washes to notice it. i have pretty damaged hair and it works...just not great. so if your hair is normal it should work well~
it should because it will make sure your hair completely cared for=)

What is the good shampoo from drugstore?

have you tried head and shoulders or pantene

are they good? What is the good shampoo from drugstore?
I used to use Pantene for years and never had a problem with it. I use Dove because of its light-weight forumla. I also use organic shampoos like bioInfusion, which is a Walgreens brand. I've also tried cheapies like Suave, I have its moisturizing shampoo and it's great. What is the good shampoo from drugstore?
don't use pantene... it makes my hair oily and so does garnier. i have never used head and shoulders but i have heard it was okay.

i try all kinds of good products and for some reason i always go back to suave... it cleans my hair the best and leaves it smooth...
Pantene doesn't work for me, heads and shoulders are okay, I use Garnier if I want my hair to be smooth, but If i wanted my hair to smell really nice, then I would go for Herbal Essences.
Pantene coats your hair in wax, gives you build up...and if you have colored hair, Head and shoulders helps fade it, Tressemme is a good over the counter brand.
head and shoulders makes your head feel all itchy. i used to use pantene till i started using aussie i love that stuff it works good my opinion get aussie!!!
don't ever use pantene unless you use the conditioner
    Pantene's good.

Does this type of shampoo exist for men?

I heard there was a shampoo for men that gives your hair the look like it hasn't been washed for a few days. Does this shampoo exist? I have really straight boring hair and it would help put some texture in it. Please let me know what brand and where I can purchase it, if it does indeed exist.Does this type of shampoo exist for men?
What you need is a texturizing gel - Bed Head makes a decent one.Does this type of shampoo exist for men?
I believe Pantene makes the texturizing shampoo/conditioner. Or you can use salt-based sprays...
Why not just let it be dirty for 3-4 days? However unsanitary that may be, try using regular shampoo and load up on short sexy Hair products. They can be found at most Ulta stores and some CVS Drug stores. They make a real gunky Sexy Hair product that will give your boring hair a very nice %26amp; wild dirty look. Check it out!

What is the best shampoo for a Bichon Frise?

Pretty much any blue shampoo will make them whiter. I have a white shepherd. There are some that actually say whitener or something like that. I personally like aloe and oatmeal just because it's soothing to the skin. It's not blue though. What is the best shampoo for a Bichon Frise?
Soothing green tea. It makes them nice and fluffy. But if your dog is prone to itchy skin, go with an oatmeal shampoo. What is the best shampoo for a Bichon Frise?
a wheat based shampoo is good for itchy skin.
Dog shampoo hands down. Just kidding. I didn't know dog shampoos could be so technical. They are just dogs. They don't even care what they look like.
WITH ANY OF MY DOGS OR HORSES I PREFER A TEARLESS SHAMPOO THAT IS ACTUALLY SOAP FREE SINCE THEY ARE LESS IRRITATING TO THE SKIN OR USE A PRODUCT THAT IS OATMEAL BASE.... BE VERY CAREFUL OF THOSE SHAMPOOS THAT WILL HELP WHITEN THE FUR BECAUSE THEY TEND TO BE VERY DRYING TO THE SKIN
Try using EPI-SOOTHE shampoo fr any pet supply. It's good for the itching that Bic-hons seem to get.Watch for hot spots also and get a cortisone cream fr your vet also.use it sparingly it's not cheap. We lost our boy 1 yr ago this month and all I can say is how loving Bishons are .We loved him so that we have not been able to even talk about getting another ,but maybe some day.Best of luck, enjoy.

Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Nexxus Humectress Conditioner. I swear by the stuff! Especially the conditioner, but the products work best together! What is the best shampoo%26amp;conditioner for me (description below!)?
use pantene beautiful lengths i use it and it is the best your hair will grow as fast as a rocket it leaves hair nice and straight and shiney and smooth (for best results use the coenditione too) when u use it put alot in your hair scrub your head and then run your fingers through it starting with the ends of your hair and work your way up same with the conditione and let the conditioner sit after you brush your fingers through it and then when you brush it when you get out use a round brush and a blow dryer and your hair will look stunning when its done drying
Dont listen to any of these people. Store bought shampoo is junk.

I work in a hair salon I know. I've been a stylist for 6 years now.

And the few shampoos i do recomend would be Matrix Biolage.

Or any kind of Kenra, or Aquage (very hydrating) shampoo. Always gets build up out of your hair, makes it silky, and healthy hair means hair growth:) You can get them at any salon.

    Hope I helped:)
healthy sexy hair chocolate soymilk shampoo and soymilk conditoner ,you can find it at ulta .
since you r already using so many chemicals on your hair, i would suggest use a very mild shampoo like baby shampoo..

But the best is L'Oreal Liss-Extreme with its hair mask..

    its awesome....
4 all (shampoos) u should use head and shoulders dry scalp and for (condish) u should use head and shoulder shiny hair

Have you ever used MANIC PANIC? what type of shampoo did you use before you dyed it?

It says to use a Ph one?

Which did you use?Have you ever used MANIC PANIC? what type of shampoo did you use before you dyed it?
I never had a problem using any shampoo. I used it quite a few times on myself and my sisterHave you ever used MANIC PANIC? what type of shampoo did you use before you dyed it?
It doesn't matter what shampoo you use, Manic Panic is a crappy product and will fade right out anyway. Go with Punky Colour, months without it ever fading. Search pH balanced shampoo on Google to find on where you are, or online, they differ from country to country. You do not have to shampoo before you dye it if you bleach directly before. You need to put this on dry hair by the way.

Dandruff Shampoo and Regular Shampoo & Conditioner question?

I have dandruff and regular hair problems (frizz).

I have a shampoo and conditioner for my frizz problem.

So do I use the dandruff shampoo and the frizz conditioner one day every other day?

Or do I shampoo with the dandruff shampoo, then the frizz shampoo, then the frizz conditioner?Dandruff Shampoo and Regular Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner question?
    Here's my suggestion

Shampoo with the dandruff shampoo, but most importantly, make sure you massage it into your scalp and let it rest on your hair/scalp for 3 minutes or so.

    Rinse.

Repeat your 2nd shampoo application with the anti-frizz shampoo. Just a quick shampoo will work.

    Rinse.

Apply the anti-frizz conditioner. Let it sit on your hair 2 - 3 minutes.

    Rinse

Style your hair and use and anti-frizz styling product.

You should have eliminated the dandruff and frizz, all in one process.Dandruff Shampoo and Regular Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner question?
Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner + Pearitin serum from the Beauty Supply Store should do the trick!
A herbal rinse is a safe method of removing dandruff. Apply lemon juice with the rind on the scalp .After 5 minutes wash off with shampoo and water. More simple remedies for dandruff at http://usefulinfo-dandruff.blogspot.com/

Which type of Shampoo and Conditioner is good for my hair?

i'm using Tresemme right now and i like it but i also used my step dad's H %26amp;S and i like it too since i have oily scalp but which kind should i useWhich type of Shampoo and Conditioner is good for my hair?
I use Infusium 23. It's a large, cheap bottle, but it's results are excellent. It smells really good! You can smell the shampoo all day. Also, it makes your hair easy to deal with and smoother. It's great for thick and thin hair (I have thick hair, and it works great!) Also, it makes your hair look really shiny, and if you have darker hair it may make natural highlights easier to see. I didn't even know I had natural highlights until I used this shampoo and conditioner! I think the set has 4 bottles, but I bought 3 (Shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner)

Whats the best shampoo in the market?

I have been using pantene and herbal essence for YEARS...(around 7 years...) and my mom insist I stay at these brands!!! OMG im so tired of them. They make my hair so dry and messy all the time...I really like the herbal essence shampoo cuz it smells amazingly good but it has the same effect as pantene!!Whats the best shampoo in the market?
I love Redkin, after using Pantene my whole life I switched and it has made a HUGE difference. I also like Healthy sexy hair chocolate soy milk shampoo and soy milk conditioner. My hair used to be very dry and frizzy, but not anymore! They may be more expensive, but it's worth it for the higher quality ingredients.Whats the best shampoo in the market?
Well, after using the same shampoo for awhile, your hair becomes used to it.

I switch between Biolage Moisture Shampoo and Herbal Essence None of Your Frizzness.

But about a week ago, my mom bought me this shampoo by Vo5, called Moisture Milks Moisturizing Shampoo. I got the smell of Passion Fruit Smoothie.

It smells UH-mazing! Actually, when I went to check the title, I opened it up and got a good whiff of it.

What I like is, it DOES NOT dry out my hair, and keeps it really silky.

And BEST of all, the smell stays. I can blow dry my hair and the scent is still there.

Vo5 Moisture Milks Passion Fruit Smoothie Moisturizing Shampoo.

It's a pinkish-red bottle, so you can try to spot it quickly.
Hello, being a hairstylist, shampoo is shampoo. They are basically the same. You can buy a shampoo for $50.00 and one for $5.00 they will both do the same job. I suggest to get whatever is on sale. If your hair is dry, try to get a trim more often and don't blow dry your hair too often. You can always damage your hair but you can never repair it unless you keep getting trims.
My hairdresser advised me against brands like Pantene and Tre Semme as they can strip the hair and I found when I used Tre Semme I struggled to get a brush through my hair after washing it.

I love the Loreal Professional range which can be bought from hairdressing salons. It's quite pricy but it's worth it in my opinion as I want to keep my coloured hair as fresh looking as possible! I use the Vitamino Colour range but they also do an intensive conditioning mask which is brilliant!!
I really like the John Freida line of hair products. They seem to work good and are pretty cheap too.

I used to use Pantene too, but it dried my hair out as well. I was told by a beautician that Pantene is horrible for color treated hair, even their line that is for color treated hair. After I stopped using Pantene, my hair felt much softer and looked a lot healthier.

  • What can i bath my dog with other then shampoo?

my dog god bathed today at the groomers she is now red and scratching and raw in spots. What can i bath my dog with other then shampoo?
you need to take her to the vet to find out what is causing the rash and the raw spots. it may be an allergy to something the groomer used after the bath, or it could be something totally unrelated to the trip to the groomer. What can i bath my dog with other then shampoo?
Did she just get a bath or did she get a hair cut as well? If it was just a bath I would put her in a tub of cool water and let her soak for about 10 minutes. If she has clipper rash, I'd probably still soak her and then use a lotion or cream with cortisone in it, available in any drug store.
Probably used a harsh flea dip. Use a human baby's oatmeal liquid soap like Aveeno.

Looking for organic shampoo for color treated hair that gets oily 2nd or 3d day after wash. 40 year old?

Looking for a safe/organic/natural shampoo and conditioner. My hair is color treated and by the 2nd or 3rd day after shampoo--it's very oily. My hair has never been oily before. Seems once I hit 40 years old, it suddently gets oily after 2nd-3rd day after shampoo. Eating healthy, exercising,etc.--so not sure--is this start of menopause! LOL. Thanks in advance for recommending an organic shampoo line that is natural and safe.Looking for organic shampoo for color treated hair that gets oily 2nd or 3d day after wash. 40 year old?
The best advice is to use a baby shampoo. Try johnson and Johnson's. This is gentle enough to be used more often , without drying out your hair. Skip conditioner all together now and then as these can build up on your hair and scalp causing unnecessary oil build up. If you must use conditioner, use the leave in spray types. These are less concentrated, thus less oil buildup. Hope this helps good luck

Can u give me reviews on the aussie moist shampoo and conditioner?

i might buy it. i have dry wavy coarse asian hair. Can u give me reviews on the aussie moist shampoo and conditioner?
It works great at first, but then eventually your hair kinda stops reacting the the conditioner and shampoo and your hair will look gross and dry. I bought pantene about 3 years ago, and have been using it ever since, I even tried to buy something that was a little cheaper, and hated it and threw it away. Pantene is the best in my opinion

I need a shampoo that smells good hours later!?

My hair gets kinda oily-ish sometimes, and the shampoo scents don't stay in long enough. I can't stand it! Are there any shampoos (drugstore, nothing expensive) that I can use that can still make my hair smell good 3 hours later?I need a shampoo that smells good hours later!?
the aussie brand smells delightful and last the whole day.

It isnt take expensive either and you can get it in any superdrugs or boots.

I love it anyway and as my hair gets oily rather quick this has helped me lots.

Hope this helpsI need a shampoo that smells good hours later!?
Sounds like my hair. I've been pretty happy with Aussie brand shampoo. It's not terribly expensive, and I've found that the scent lasts pretty long compared to Suave and Herbal Essences.
i love the aussie shampoo and conditioner. i use the MOIST one. my hair smells so good even a day later! love it!
    Heineken
herbal essences, all the way. i think it's the only brand I've used that I can actually smell by night (i take showers in the morning). its scent is also one of the nicest ones, so that adds to the advantage. i really can't think of any other drugstore brands that last as long, unless you want to pay more, and why should you?

i also happen to know there are hair perfumes, but i think, to keep your hair at its most natural state, stick with a good shampoo and conditioner and that should be it. i hate dabbing on products on my hair when i know it's not healthful.
    HEAD AND SHOUDERS, Pentein, DOVE

Is it true that the ';Mane 'n Tail'; horse shampoo makes your hair grow faster?

i'm trying to grow my hair out again.

and i want it to grow back as fast as possible. Is it true that the ';Mane 'n Tail'; horse shampoo makes your hair grow faster?
I've started using it again for just two days and I can already see growth. So it does work as long as you use it the right way. First off, stop using shampoo (including Mane n Tail) because they can damage your hair. Instead, thoroughly massage a good amount of Mane n Tail CONDITIONER into the roots of your hair, and leave it in all day. Then wash it out with warm water the next day and apply it again. Your hair may feel dry with the conditioner in it, but wash it out and it actually feels softer. Is it true that the ';Mane 'n Tail'; horse shampoo makes your hair grow faster?
yes it is but it takes a really really long time

    9 months to a year

do you ever notice how pregnant girls have longer hair and nails durning the pregnancy

that is the calcium and such that is made for the baby

what you need is gelatin- plain unflavored gelatin

i put mine in a glass of v8 cause it is a little thick

if you put extra gelatin in your system it will manifest in longer, thicker hair and stronger longer nails

also sally Hansen nail strengthener is great as well
No, Jennifer Aniston answered with this when asked how she got her hair so shiny and later admitted to it being untrue. The best way to ensure long healthy hair is actually kelp supplements from your local drug store. I swear by them, b4 I started taking them my hair was thin and took an age to grow.

    Good luck
I dont know. I've used it on my horses and dogs, but never on myself
a freind of mine used it, she started loosing her hair. Needless to say she switched very fast to sauve.
HMMMMMMM IVE ALWAYS USED THE ON MY DOG.

Why is my shampoo drying out my hair?

Since June, I've dyed my hair a few times, but never within a one month period. I have really thin, fine hair, and it seems like I've used every type (not brand) of shampoo I can find. I'm a guy and I have semi-long hair for a guy. Even if I use even the tiniest bit of even a shampoo labeled ';moisture'; at the roots, my hair gets really dry. This after conditioning and blow-drying. What's the problem? Why is my shampoo drying out my hair?
I have told this to a number of people, since i have thin hair as well just because i try to help, i will really recommend you this natural shampoo which will make your hair stronger and softer. It really worked great for me!

http://www.alnaturalcosmetics.com/servle鈥?/a>Why is my shampoo drying out my hair?
Shampoo is drying because it has a sulfate in it. Shampoos normally have Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate in them. You can try to use a Sulfate Free Shampoo. You can try a sulfate free shampoo. here is a list I found online of all the sulfate free shampoos

    Trader Joe鈥檚 Refresh

    Drugstore:

    * ISOPLUS Conditioning

Also, if you do choose to go sulfate free, you also need to go silicone free, because the silicones will cause build up on your hair.
conditioning wouldn't make it dry, it would make it greasy. blow drying it would tho. use a good heat protectant when drying. like VO5 or Tresemme.

Also, odds are that ur hair is just naturally dry, like, that's it's type. I would say to just experiment with different shampoos that moisturize.

Don't use human shampoo on your dogs you idiots! Report Abuse
What kind of shampoo do you use to give your dog a bath?
The reason you can't use human shampoo is dogs have fewer cell layers than human skin (3-5 compared to our 10-15), thus creating a different pH level. Over time this will become extremely drying on the coat and skin, causing problems.

So many answers on here are incorrect and ridiculous. Report Abuse

I currently use a Malaseb shampoo to help avoid any yeast-related infections while my dog's are recovering from demodex and have used sulfadene in the past to treat certain skin issues. Choosing shampoo should really be based on your needs. Does the dog have dandruff? Oily skin? Prone to rashes? There are a lot of different types of shampoo that are specifically made to treat different issues that you'll run in to with dogs. My favorite place to buy everything from shampoo to vitamins is revivalanimal.com. Usually everything they offer is at an excellent price and they give lots of information on ingredients and uses for their different products. Defintely don't use dish soap on your dog as it will dry out your pooch's skin, leaving you with an unhappy, itchy dog. It is ok to use every now and again if you're in a bind and can't get a hold of a dog formulated shampoo, but don't make a habit of it.
most of the time, i take mine to the groomer. when at home, and they roll in..stinky stuff.. that needs to be washed off asap, i use a shampoo from ryan's pet supplies. it is called, that shampoo. long name, that dirty-rotten-filthy-stinking-grubby-dog shampoo. also check out pet-edge, they sell shampoos also. ryan's # 1-800-525-pets.
Baby shampoo. It has more neutral pH and is gentler on their coats.

There are many specialty shampoos for dogs. Ordinary human shampoo is OK, but really, dogs do not need to be bathed often. They do better with more brushing and fewer baths. :)
I use a mild dish soap first to get rid of the stubborn dirt and grease in their coat then I follow up with a baby formula shampoo and every other bath they get a conditioning treatment too. They are soft, silky and smell so good-and just a little spoiled but I love 'em and they are worth it!
suave 1/2 and 1/2 water to shampoo
They have dog shampoo but I don't know how expensive it is. Try baby shampoo.
    Pantene ProV.

No really, I use an anti-itch formula designed for dogs. I can't think of the brand name right this second though...

EDIT: I finally remembered the name, it's Malaseb.
Hertz purple shampoo, it has a great scent that conditions my dogs fur and it has a scent to for about a week. Happy New Year!
It's a really good smelling one called, ';Pro Pet Salon';.

It smells like green tea (a little)
Never use human shampoo. We have a different pH level than dogs, it will dry the skin and coat out. Fortnightly bathing is the maximum I recommend. You can use a leave on conditioner or cologne in between bathing.

I find anything from the Dermcare range works beautiful. It is only available from vet clinics and comes from the same crew who make medicated shampoos such as Malaseb %26amp; Pyohex. The Natural is a great all round shampoo. If your dog is prone to sensitive skin I would use their oatmeal Aloveen shampoo and conditioner range. It is a top product and smells great.
It depends on the size and conditions. Is your dog exposed to fleas for example. Just be careful what you use. My dog weighs 5Lbs2oz's and I'm going back to baby shampoo. Right now I am having to watch him to assure he doesn't go backwards as I treated him with a Monthly over the counter flea treatment and ended up having to take him to the emergency veterinarian when he started drooling and having body tremors. This may be a question you'd prefer to take to your dogs doctor. Be careful.
Go to the pets aisle and get some dog shampoo. Try to get one that prevents dandruff
I use Tropiclean 'Awapuhi White'. It's an all-natural, soap-free (so it doesn't wash off flea preventative) shampoo.

    http://www.tropiclean.net/tropiclean_pag鈥?/a>

You should ALWAYS use only dog shampoo to bath your dog. Human shampoo has a different pH balance, and can irritate and dry out the dog's skin and coat.
I always use Hartz on my two dogs. The Oatmeal helps keep a really shinny coat and if they are prone to having really dry skin it helps moisturize.
i used this dooy wash....bt once she rolled in crap nd i had none left so i used my shampoo and it didt make a difference which one i used
Whatever you do make sure it is animal/dog shampoo. Dogs have special needs to keep their skin from getting dry. :%26gt;)
i use a Pets at Home brand (the uk version of PetSmart).

i also use their deoderant too.

Does Bright lights shampoo work to brighten white lambs???

Shows just around the corner and idk if brightlights will help my white lambsDoes Bright lights shampoo work to brighten white lambs???
    There is a kind of shampoo available from veterinarians called ';Pearlyte'; and it is blue. It is made by ';DVM';

I use it on my horse who has long white mane and it really cleans it up.

I suppose any shampoo with a blueing agent will help.

Does Mane&Tail shampoo really make your hair grow faster?

my hair is thick and curly and shoulder length, and i want my hair to grow faster. does it work?Does Mane%26amp;Tail shampoo really make your hair grow faster?
Why do people keep saying ';no?'; I tried it on my own hair and it DOES work. Just a warning, though, you can only use it for a month at a maximum as it is very strong for human use. You'll notice your hair longer in two to three weeks. I experimented on my own hair and my hair is past my waist.Does Mane%26amp;Tail shampoo really make your hair grow faster?
    Yes, it does.

Another way to make it grow faster is every time you wash your hair, rub your scalp lots.

It increases circulation in your head and makes your hair grow faster and healthier.

    And get a massaging hairbrush.

    They sell them at walmart.
uh that's what i hear as well i'd say you try it out
    No, it doesn't.

    You're hair will eventually grow.

    Patience...

    -мαℓℓσяу.
when i used mane and tail it just made my hair thicker. I dunno if you really want to use something that was originally created for horses.
    No.

The only way to get your hair to grow faster is to brush it more and take vitamins.
No. Take vitamins, eat a healthy diet and drink lots of water.

How do you shampoo a rabbit?

i need to bathe my rabbit cookies. How do you shampoo a rabbit?
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha鈥?just had to get that out of my system. :)

My mother owned two rabbits, one liked people, the other didn't. while they both had different personalities they had one thing in common...they HATED water. They would literally shred your arms to smithereens as soon as their hind legs hit the wet stuff.

I'm sure there are some rabbits out there who will tolerate taking a bath ours did not. My mother often just used a very wet washcloth or baby wipes to do the job.

GOOD LUCK!How do you shampoo a rabbit?
don't bathe your bunny!! i am an experienced bunny owner, they clean themselves, just use cotton and chamomile tea if anything. you shouldnt be asking questions that pertain to rabbit health here unless you know who you get it from. ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT BATHE HIM BECAUSE IT WILL STRESS THE ... OUT OF HIM. YOU SHOULD NEVER DO THAT! ask a vet who specializes in rabbits if you don't trust me. use cotton and chamoile tea. that is all! if you have any other questions please email me. i'll eb glad to help you.
Hi. I'm a bunny freak! I bath bunnies all the time. I even take them in the bath with me on occasion! However for you, easiest way is kitchen sink.Fill both sides with 4 inches warm water. Sit her in gently and use your hand to pour water over her back. Then take 1-2 TBS shampoo and just scrub her all over.Do her face with a cloth and plain water. They like it as long as the water is warm. Then put her in other sink to rinse it off. Towel dry and place on top of running dryer or under a lamp.
    With HARE care products!
    Bathing a rabbit can be very stressful especially when its the first time. I own a rabbit myself, named Thumper, I use ';Quick and Easy Shampoo'; sold at PetSmart. It's a dry Shampoo and there is no need for water. Leaves Thumper clean, smelling good and her coat really shiny. No stress for bunny and no stress for you, its only about $5.50 and lasts you a long time. == :* %26gt; }
be very careful when cleaning the rabbit. you can easily damage its spinal cord or injure yourself.

i used a brush to clean my rabbit recently. he had alot of poo stuck in his fur. i did this over the course of a few days because he didn't tolerate it well. one day, i filled the tub with a small amount of water and put the bunny inside. i gently joined him and used the brush to clean up the softened areas. this took almost an hour. i used no soap and the water was very shallow.

because my rabbit lives outside, i bathed him on a very warm day and night. i went slowly and spent about an hour each nite brushing and washing. i made sure he had lots of fresh lettuce afterwards.
rabbits are very clean animals, they spend about half the day cleaning themselves, so bathing them is unnecessary unless they've gotten into something. i figure if you really want to give him a bath you should fill a bathtub up a couple inches and rub shampoo in and wash him off, if it's cold in your house try to hold him and dry him off.

  • I shampoo every other day and it get really oily the day after i shampoo?

i use herbal essences ';none of ur frizzness'; because my hair was very frizzy and dry but i shampoo and condition my hair every other day and now the day after i shampoo my hair becomes oily, rough to the touch, and looks dry too yes dry and oily weird isn't it please i need help!

please tell me what to do and tell me all you knowI shampoo every other day and it get really oily the day after i shampoo?
well, if you brush your hair, soak your comb and or brush in different glasses in hot water.

dont use a whole lot of your ';none of your frizzness'; stuff.

wash your pilow case evey week

dont put conditioner on the top of your head

dont brush your hair all the time, if you do dont brush the top becase it will dry on your hair and oil when come.

and after you get out of the shower DONT brush your hair completelyI shampoo every other day and it get really oily the day after i shampoo?
On the first weeks/months it'll look like that, but eventually your hair will get used to the system and balance of your shampooing.
im pretty sure its ur shampoo's fault, coz since it uses herbal stuff, one of its main ingredients is pbbly oil, so i recommend u change shampoo brands
you're probably using the wrong shampoo!
don't use that stuff anymore use panteene its much better or suave

Wat kind of shampoo that i should use?

Beacause my hair is so frizzy and notty.Wat kind of shampoo that i should use?
Keep your hands off your hair. The more you touch it, the more it will frizz. Apply conditioner, comb through it with a wide-tooth comb (in the shower), add more conditioner, rinse lightly (leave some conditioner in), very lightly towel dry, apply your styling products, and do not touch it again. No combing, no scrunching, no nothing.

Scrunching is absolutely the worst thing you can do -- it works great for thin, fine, hair that is mostly straight with a little wave in it, but for coarse, thick, truly curly locks it's a Brillo-inducing nightmare -- those curls, you must leave them alone.

This was the hardest lesson for me to learn, and the one that has paid off over 1000 times in value! My hair now looks great, and the only products I use (aside from a conditioner) are anti-frizz creme (use the cheapest one you can find, every single one of them has the exact same ingredient, which is silicone) and mousse. Don't use a water-based frizz-fighter, by the way, use a heavy silicone one. Don't buy the $20 one, buy the $5.00 one. They are all identical, read the labels.

    2. Don't shampoo your hair. This may be almost as bad as scrunching. You can, indeed should, conditioner-wash your hair every day, but only shampoo once a week at most. No, your hair will not get greasy, you should be so lucky, most curly hair is naturally very dry, and has been made more so by constant chemical processing, blow drying, and general abuse.Wat kind of shampoo that i should use?
    head and shoulders
Pantene Pro-V and John Freida! Live by it-trust me
    why not ask your hair?
Try Control Freak by Tigi. Its really good!
    Herbal Essences
use pantene frizz control or dove
It really depends on your hair texture and/or ethinicity. But I use Hairobics Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner and Paul Mitchell's detangler.
    PANTENE!! it's the best
    use dove its the best
My favorite of all time is Sleek.Look by Matrix
maybe you should just shave your head
Garnier Fructis ';unmanagable and frizzy'; i think it is.... i have curly/wavy hair as well... it works
    Fructis
You should try pantene for women of color.

Works for puffy and poofy types pf hair
    Use '; Spellyouright ';.

No, seriously. Johnsons' Baby Shampoo or any Castile Shampoo. Don't use a lot.
I always use Suave. I used it my whole life and it works great for my hair. My hair is thick and wavy because of it. For you, I also suggest the conditioner. It would make your hair less knotty and help the frizz an little. Go to a hair cuttery and they sell this ';oil kind'; substance that keeps the frizz away. It works great. Good Luck! :)
The best thing is to ask your stylist. That way he or she can look at your hair and recommend something for you!
use any shampoo available, it wont make any difference
    Use pantene frizz control
don't use pantene that stuff will take all the moistUre out and dry out ur hair. try redken shampoo and redken conditioner. don't ever use combined shampoo like pert plus. I use redken products and i love the way they leave my hair.
pantene is really good it is all i would use when i was a kid. now i use garner fructis the sleek and shine, it works really good.
go to a salon and get biolage ultra-hydrating shampoo and conditioner. They also have a mousse that does well with controlling the frizz. good luck!
I have naturally curly hair and always looking for a good product to tame frizz. This week it's Redken All Soft Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. It definitely ';softens'; my look. Next month (or two) I'll try Redken Smooth Down.
i no this dont answer but im a guy i dont really no but my mom uses this stuff called think its like mango shampoo or somtin srry i cant help more lol
I really like Garnier Frutice, I have curly thick hair and it works really well, you can also use hot oil treatments occasionally to bring down the frizz.
Optimum Oil Therapy Ultimate Recovery Shampoo by SoftSheen-Carson ... it helps with the frizz.
Try some Biolage and get a hot oil treatment. they do wonders for your hair.
    Suave. It's the cheapest best.

Whats the best shampoo for men?

I use garnier ultra doux camomille with its conditioner, and just recently switched to herbal essences coconut exctract(smells nice) and some conditioner of the same type...which ones better? Do you recommend any better shampoos+conditioners?Whats the best shampoo for men?
I USE HERBAL ESSENCES TOO!! I love the way it makes my hair feel lOl. *HI-5*Whats the best shampoo for men?
I'd like to know what condition your hair is in. Your hair type, if it's colored, and all that. Herbel essense coconut is a nice shampoo (but very cheap). You definately get what you pay for, but if all your going for is smell/ a regular shampoo and conditioner- well, you can keep buying drugstore products. I'd like to recommend infusium 23 products for a great drugstore brand. And also the tigi s-factor products.

I'm not really certain of whats going on with your hair or what the question is really asking.

Yes, there are definately better products out there (trust me). But it all depends how much you wanna spend and if you want your hair looking flawless or just clean.

Message me if you wanna get more in detail with some better questions, i'd love to help.

I have bad dandruff and use Head %26amp; Shoulders...it works for me but you should give it a try. I heard that gel, conditioner, mouse and spray can increase it and make it worseMy hair having dandruff i don't know what to do to it, i been using dandruff shampoo but with no help?
read the ingredients list on the label. Try a different shampoo with different active ingredient. Some stores like wal-mart, target, etc

have sample size bottles (not free, but inexpensive) enough so you can tell if it is going to be effective. For long time use try to alternate different shampoos. If there is still a serious problem it might be some type of scalp problem besides regular dandruff. Try regular sanitizing combs, brushes etc in alcohol (let dry before use) to prevent re infection.
Dandruff can be caused by dry scalp, eczema, or a certain kind of yeast (not the same yeast as the kind that causes problems for women on the other end of their bodies, though). If you really have problem dandruff, you should go to a dermatologist who will help figure out what is causing it. You could try a shampoo that has Nizoral in it. The shampoo used to be by prescription but I think it is an over the counter product now. This will help if the dandruff is caused by a yeast.
    http://beauty.indobase.com/hair-care/remedies-for-dandruff.html

you could have psoriasis. My husband has it, he just thought he had dandruff until he shaved his head and found rash like spots on his head.

His isn't bad, but i don't know how bad it can get.

Just try some stuff on that site and see what happens.

To keep dandruff away, take a tablespoon of lemon juice with 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, massage it well on scalp and hair regularly.Wash your hair with warm water. More simple remedies for dandruff at http://usefulinfo-dandruff.blogspot.com/

i use redken dandruff shampoo and it works sooooooo good

you really have to like scrub your head and then leave the shampoo in for 3 minutes

you still have a tiny bit of dandruff

butt it works better then head and sholders and the other kinds

    trust me
Hot water thing is a myth, dandruff is caused by a fungus, not just dryness. You can try Paul Mitchell's Dandruff shampoo w/ tea tree oil in the green bottle it worked for me.
all you have to do is buy any kind of moisturizer.

limit washing your hair to twice a week.

and they best kind of moisturizer i would say

is LANDERS PINK OIL HAIR MOISTURIZER.

    it really works.
Contact me goodnitedandruff at gmail dot com and I will send you and even pay the postage on a bottle of cream that really works well.
message your scalp with your finger tips while washing given time you will have no more dandruff.
    hi

u can have good medicine in Ayurveda. try it.

If i used shampoo that black people use wouldnt it make my hair softer?

im white my hair is fine jst a little dry and damaged from dieng it..would it help my hair or hurt it?If i used shampoo that black people use wouldnt it make my hair softer?
Take 2 tbls. of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2 x day. Has 93 vitamins and minerals. Try just a dab of coconut oil on the hair and brush hair at least 100 times, but gently. Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. I am black and I use alverto vo5 shampoo and conditioner. I put condition on first then I put on shampoo and then I rinse. So conditioner has longer to work. Good luck darling. If i used shampoo that black people use wouldnt it make my hair softer?
are you an idiot? Do you think they use special shampoo? I'm sure they use the same damn stuff that everyone else uses depending on their hair condtion. If you have dry damaged hair just go get a shampoo that treats dry damaged hair - there are tons of them out there - read a couple labels - feel free to ask a hair dresser/barber/stylist/whatever you want to call them.
I have coarse dry hair too. That is precisely what works best for my hair.
i used this stuff called african miracle(i think) it was a conditioner to tone down my fuzzy hair. i'm white, but my hair just dries out like crazy. if i go more than a couple of days without washing my hair, it feels like a hay stack!!!! couldn't hurt to try, you'd only be out the cost of one bottle if you don't like it.

i liked the conditioner. i use smoothers by FX
It wouldn't hurt your hair. If you have fine or thin hair it may way it down a lot because it is usually more moisturizing. You may not want to use it every day. If you have thicker hair or can use a heavy conditioner it would probably work great.
it doesnt matter what colar you are, shampoo is shampoo
You could try it. Try to find a place where you can return it if you do not like it.
Ive got the same problem, i have over treated hair, but i thought the same thing, so i bought some conditioner in the ';ethnic'; section of walmart (thats what the manager that showed me the area called it........yea i thought he was a moron too) and i tried it out and it works great i dont remember what its called but its in a pink (kinda orange) jar, K something....
It might but you have to remember that it is made for coarser hair, so it might not give you the results you are hoping for. Sometimes I will use shampoo specifically made for black hair but i'm mixed and my hair is not fine whatsoever. So becareful if you want to use these type of products because they tend to be very strong.
Ethnic products are no different than mainstream products. I've tried many shampoos from both sides(it's the chemicals in the shampoo that matter, not who it's sold to). I use nexxus products and I'm black........I use Aussie products too....
Brush your hair with a GOOD Boar Bristle Brush.

50 strokes on each side of your head, twice a day!

Use a shampoo with little or no alkali (Acid)

Stop all of the dying and coloring! Do we dye/

  • Whats a good shampoo and conditioner?

to downplay puffy hair and make it smoother and shinier?Whats a good shampoo and conditioner?
Take it from me, a hairdresser, don't waste your time on high price salon products. Go to your local drug store and get the new Herbal Essence, they have many different types for everyones hair. Also, there is a new kind out by SunSilk that has a variety of shampoos and conditioners. Also Dove makes really good ones. Just look on the bottles and get the type that is best for your hair. Also, if you don't do it already, purchase a good straightening iron and straighten your hair after you wash it. This makes it smoother instantly. I recommend a CHI Iron, they run around $100 but you will get your moneys worth.!! Good LuckWhats a good shampoo and conditioner?
Yes there are many heat protectants out there. All of them are good. CHI also makes one to go with the iron. Also look on Ebay for CHI irons a bit cheaper! Good Luck Report Abuse

I use Herbal Essence. I get compliments all the time. My barber, a woman, says I always have nice soft hair.

Have suggestions for shampoo and conditioner?

i have curly hair, straighten it about once per week. I usually focus on moisturization, but sometimes I get products intended to increase shine. I'd like to find a super-product that increases moisture, shine, and elasticity. I'm trying to grow my hair out longer!

So far, Nexxus is the best I've tried. I would like to try something new, please give me suggestions.Have suggestions for shampoo and conditioner?
I have very curly hair, and I find Deva Curl has worked the best for me so far.

Also, you can read reviews and ingredients on products on Naturallycurly.com. I use that as my top resource when doing research on hair products.

Also, you may want to try going to the No-Poo method.

Here is a link explaining the no-poo method. They list a book on this link, which I highly recommend reading.

I like Herbel Esscence Twisted. It's very moisturizing and you can buy a shine serum that comes in the Twisted set. Then again, I'm not exactly sure if it's called Twisted...but it's a purple bottle and something about curls xD.

Edit: You can also use it when you straighten your hair, it doesn't make your hair curl up when you straighten it or anything.
i like nexxus too. bed head is good, just look for the one that suites your hair routine and type. also garnier fructis is the best, cheap shampoo/conditioner, if your on a budget.

Whats the best shampoo to improve hair loss for men?

I dont want to try rogaine or any products, cuz i heard you start losing hair again once u stop using them..Whats the best shampoo to improve hair loss for men?
try Nioxin. They are sold in the ULTA stores. I got my hubby to try it cause he was loosing hair... and I personally used it after having baby cause my hair was shedding which I heard it was normal. So give it a try.Whats the best shampoo to improve hair loss for men?
I own my own business in beauty products so I can tell you that my #1 selling product for losing you hair is call Nioxin this you can only find in salons our beauty store that have a salon...This comes in shampoo and conditioner or you can just take some vita ms that they also sell..
there are a number of good products out there for hair loss. The two i would recommend are by PHYTO and Kerastase.

PHYTO have three hair loss products aimed at men, these are PHYTOAXIL shampooo, PHYTOAXIL treatment and PHYTOTRIXIL for severe hair loss. Check out these products and more information about how they work and there ingredients at http://www.haircareheaven.co.uk

The alternative to this is Kerastase Aminexil which is a 42 treatment programme. This can be combined with Kerastase Bain Prevention shampoo for hair loss or thinning hair. Again check out http://www.haircareheaven.co.uk for more information and way to solve and prevention hair loss, which can sometimes be permenant or just temporary.
dont try rogain! my uncle has spent a small fortune on that $hit id dont work nor do i think any other would work! and im going bald my self!
I think you mean decrease hair loss. Rogaine is the only one that really works but you have to take it forever.

If you really want to improve hair loss use Nair.
Save your money bro, I've tried everything, nothing works. Just get used to your hair falling out, I did.

Best to use Grecian 2000 coz it will blend your ginger pubes to your other hair.

    Head and shoulders
Best thing in my opinion would be to make all of your head pubicly. In other words get all of it at least curly and maybe gingerly. The thing is that if you straighten it you will have to use pretty aggressive products, being that you had a bold spot is an indication of sorts that such is not a good action.

So I'd say go live a curly life and use a mild shampoo.
Use ';just for Men';. Does this mean you are a ********?
try aveda hang straight. good luck with you patch!

Pantene Pro-v is the best stuff for that and is will make your hair shine.

I had the same problem, but i had gotten a slight perm for waves a year or so ago. But anyway, if you go to walmart in the shampoo and conditioner section they'll have name brands such as Pantene and whatnot. Just becuase they're name brands doesn't mean they're good. The walmart brand works AMAZINGLY! Make sure you get vitamin enriched, for dry damaged hair though. Also, leave the shampoo and conditioner in your hair for a while before washing it out, that will help with the dryness. Straightening works best afer you've washed your hair and it has dried becuase it's more moisturizing.
    Try Aussie Conditioner
same problem here dont know but everything u just said is all true for me
    Pantene

Whats the best Shampoo to keep the brown color in my hair longer?

Do not use panteen IT WILL ZAP YOUR HAIR DRY, TRUST ME... now you have to use john frieda stuff that puts a shine in your hair.. use brunette expressions (still john frieda). it glosses your hair w/ shine and adjust to the dye or natural color giving it a fresh appearance. i'm a brunette so i would know.... AGAIN DO NOT USE PANTEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friends hair turned blonde from the panteen brunettte stuff... it doesn't adjust to the hair dye, or natural color. AND people who use John frienda say their hair feels less oily and more hydrated...+plus it smells SOOO good! smells like coacoa :))) hope I helped!!!! here is a REALLY HELPFUL LINK!!

http://www.johnfrieda.com/products/products_main.asp?section=products%26amp;subSection=brilliantBrunette%26amp;lineID=2Whats the best Shampoo to keep the brown color in my hair longer?
Pantene, they have a new line for specific colors, plus it'll keep it radiant and shiny. Beautiful in other words! ;)Whats the best Shampoo to keep the brown color in my hair longer?
    PORCUPINES
Ooh I know this one, cos it's brill! John Frida Luminous Colour Glaze. Wash your hair, then condition, then slap some of this on. Leave for about 3 or 4 mins, then rinse out. Make sure you wash your hands straight away!
The best shampoo would have to be Suave color essentials in brunette.
Depending on if it is light or dark brown:

Light brown - Shine Release庐 Daily Shampoo, Amber to Maple %26amp; Light Reflecting Conditioner, Amber to Maple

John Freida - Shine Release庐 Daily Shampoo, Chestnut to Espresso %26amp; Light Reflecting Conditioner, Chestnut to Espresso

You need to use the shampoo and/or conditioner at lease a couple times per week to keep the color up. I use his products. They are good quality and less expensive than those available in salons. You can find them at most discount or drugstores (Walmart, RiteAid, etc.). I buy mine at the Safeway grocery store.
Try pantene pro v brunette expressions
I always buy the shampoo that corrisponds with the hair dye that they put on my hair at the shop...currently my shop uses Goldwell, and Goldwell makes a special dye called Love Brown to keep your color intact...it costs a little more, but it is worth the extra money because it works well

you can buy this shampoo at the link i provided
john frieda shampoo hope i helped: )
i color my hair, and my hairdresser recommended Redken shampoo for colored hair. helps my color last alot longer.
if your hair is colored then i think the best shampoo is pureology! it smells great and it 100% vegan.
USE COLOR CARE SHAMPOO AND WASH WITH COLD WATER. THE COLD WATER KEEPS THE HAIR CUTICLE CLOSED SO THAT THE COLOR WONT SEEP OUT, WARM WATER SWELLS THE CUTICLE AND LETS THE COLOR OUT WHEN U WASH. IF THE COLOR IS DEMI OR SEMI ITS GOING TO FADE EVENTUALLY.
i think pantenne will be very usefull
swave has cheap shampoos that work really well, they have like ';brilliant burnett'; and stuff
i just got my haired died a dark brownish and i use brilliant burnette and its kept my hair color stay healthy for the past 3 months so far.
garnier fructis, for color treated hair

    works great!
PANTENE BRUNETTE EXPRESSIONS, i have my hair died brown and i use that suff and my hair still hasnt lost its colour yet and its been a more than a month and usually my hair colour fades fast but this shampoo really works : D
    The best is redkin

  • What type of shampoo do you use?

Do you think it's the best kind to use? Why?What type of shampoo do you use?
Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioner. It leaves your hair so soft and shiny and it smells good too. It hydrates your hair. And makes it stronger. I straighten my hair and at the time I was only using that, no heat protector at the time, and I never got a split end. That's how good it is. Get it. They sell them everywhere.

    xoxo

-BlahWhat type of shampoo do you use?
    I normally use:

Pantene whenever I feel cheap. It works nicely and gives some pretty nice results. Sadly, it doesn't help much in reducing frizz.

Aveda whenever I want to splurge. It smells nice and works wonders! There's also so much variety at their store to choose from. There's something for every hair type.

i use two one is head and shoulders citrus breeze because the smell stays forvever and it smells soo good and the i use herbal essences dangerously straight it doesnt help that much when i straighten my hair but it helps a little.
Sunsilk ';Straighten Up'; Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. (Purple Bottle)

Are silicone based hair products harmful in any way? Also, do they wash off well with shampoo?

I read somewhere that silicone can weeken hair shaft if used too often, as the layer of silicone oil prevents hair from ';breathing';. It's confusing. Are silicone based hair products harmful in any way? Also, do they wash off well with shampoo?
They are ok to use, but when washing your hair mix a little baking soda with your shampoo. That will strip your hair of any impurities and the silicone build up on your hair. I took a continuing edu. class once and they told us that products like Thermasilk that contain silicone is not good for your hair, but that it would not damage it beyond anything you could fix with a good moisturizing treatment. Silicone is great if you are using any kind of thermal styling aids ( such as a straightener or curling irons) because it saves the hair from any heat styling damage. So go ahead and use the silicone based products, you will be ok.Are silicone based hair products harmful in any way? Also, do they wash off well with shampoo?
the ONLY THING THAT SILICONE DOES IS COAT THE HAIR...AND NO, THEY DO NOT WASH OFF EASILY...YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A GOOD CLARIFYING SHAMPOO AND WASH YOUR HAIR WITH IT AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK
They aren't harmful, and they make your hair silky and shiny. Like any other product they can cause buildup though, so be sure to use a clarifying shampoo once in awhile. Otherwise your normal shampoo works fine for everyday.
Correct! Pantene products have lots of silicone so that the hair cuticle lays flat while killing it really. I tried it and at first it was heavan touching my hair and then it turned to straw. :-(

Ingredients in acidic shampoo and conditioner?

My hairdresser told me I should use an acidic shampoo and conditioner (opposed to a alkaline one). What ingredients would you find in acidic shampoo and conditioner?Ingredients in acidic shampoo and conditioner?
Stuff like citrus and vinegar.Ingredients in acidic shampoo and conditioner?
    Hi,

    I am a hairdresser...

A WONDERFUL acidic conditioner is called Ensure, and it's made by Nexxus. Nexxus recently went public (they sell it in places like Walmart now) so it's really easy to find. It has grapefruit, and things like that in it. It's different feeling than other conditioners.

Just make sure you squeeze your hair out (and possibly even towel blot your hair) before you put it in. I stumbled across it when I was at work, and started using it on color clients especially. It leaves the hair very soft, and shiney, very different from other conditioners. I would use a regular conditioner like once a week though.

Hope that helps. Not sure on a shampoo...

Saw palmetto shampoo for hereditary hair loss?

Hi I have started using saw palmetto shampoo which also contains wheat germ oil, avacado extract, chamomile extraxt, nettle leaf extract, jojoba oil extract. It has been 16-18 washes but I have felt an increase in my shed than decrease?should I stop using it?Saw palmetto shampoo for hereditary hair loss?
A quick internet search turned up the following list of side-effects experienced by saw palmetto users: stomach pains and diarrhea, severe bleeding during saw palmetto use, allergic reactions, difficulty with erections, testicular discomfort, decline in sexual desire, breast tenderness and enlargement and a warning that saw palmetto extract is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breast-feeding because of its possible hormonal activity. This shows that herbal substances may not be so harmless after all.

Based on this information, consulting with a specialist seems to be the way to go.Saw palmetto shampoo for hereditary hair loss?
Research has shown that the herb Saw Palmetto has the same effects as finasteride in treating patients with benign prostate enlargement.

There are many research and studies in Germany that confirm the effectiveness of Saw Palmetto in treating patients with prostatic disease.

Studies have shown that saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. It acts in a similar way that propecia does. Firstly it lowers levels of DHT in the body by Blocking 5 alpha-reductase. Secondly Saw Palmetto block receptor sites on cell membranes required for cells to absorb DHT.

Although no studies have been carried out on saw palmetto and its relation to hair growth. Studies have been performed on the use of Saw palmetto in the treatment of benign prostatic disease which similar to Androgenetic Alopecia also depends on the production of dihydrotestosterone(DHT).

More over I think its something else causing your hair-loss. You should talk to your dermatologist.
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm鈥?/a>

  • Is Hartz Shampoo bad for my dog?

I know Hartz flea products are really bad for pets but what about there shampoo? Is Hartz Shampoo bad for my dog?
Hartz is a horrible product...You want a good shampoo that is not drying to your dog skin a non soap based shampoo and one that dose not have alcohol in it.. I had a Pom that all most died from that brand....I use Tropiclean products in my grooming salon...www.tropiclean.net..Is Hartz Shampoo bad for my dog?
I would go to your groomer and have them recommend a shampoo for your dog. I did use the fleas stuff on a terrier mix dog and she got really sick, so I won't even use any of their products ever again. That has been like 30 years ago.

Mickey_ Don't say you are a vet when you are not. All we have to do is see all of the other answers you write and never in the Dog section, and you can't spell. You can harm someone if they take your word for something, so stop it.
Why the hell would a company that spends millions of dollars trying to engineer products specifically for pets actually, or knowingly, produce one that's bad for them? They have directions on the label for the use of the applications and shampoos. If there's something wrong with your dog's coat... or even its fleas... the problem is not Hartz... it's yours.
I know you're probably looking for a quick fix for flea shampoo but that's definitely the wrong choice. I worked in a vet clinic/hospital for e few years and if I were you just from what I've seen, just go to your local vet and get some flea preventative or ask them the best shampoo that's in your price range that won't cause any harm to your dog. Hartz is known for causing many health problems. Why they still sell the stuff I have no clue. But to keep your pet happy and healthy, stay away from it!! A loving pitbull breeder for 10 yrs. (And have never used it on my dogs, the risk is too high)
never used it but personally, i use the best of the best on my

';kids.'; i have 4 german shephard/husky mix (2 pups) and highly recommend ';the royal treatment'; products. all natural, lasting scent, no harmfull side-effects, and affordable. i purchased a 1 liter of honey banana oatmeal about a year ago. ive bathed them once a month, and im barely at half the bottle! definitely check it out, you wont be disappointed!
I would think that their non flea products would be reasonably safe. Personally I would go with human baby shampoo rather than Hartz products just because I think it would save you money. My favorite dog shampoo is the DVM Pharmaceuticals HyLyt shampoo. It's fairly expensive but the bottle will last you forever unless you are bathing your dog every week (which you shouldn't).
Anything relating to any product possible that is made by Hartz is bad for Dogs! or anything that inhabits this earth!
I am a vet and i have had several cilents with issues of the hartz products. It has caused many harms to animals such as hair loss, vomiting, allergic reactions, surgery, posioning and almost death. I personally would not use it but if you feel strongly about it, you can. Here is the website of it:

    http://www.hartz.com/index.asp?fp=1

    I hope I helped!
I use all their stuff never had one problem, even the drops for fleas--vet says what ever works ,Phoenix is a spoiled brat-bathed -dipped-heartguard once a month and ever since they had all the recall stuff I cook his own food too !!! add garlic to food for fleas works good.
Hartz ingredients are bad.....they use similar ingredients in all their products. See this link for info on them, they are specifically named, among others.

    http://www.nrdc.org/health/effects/pets/鈥?/a>
I have used it, the puppy kind, and it had worked fine with my dogs. Just make sure to rinse it all off to prevent itching and drying of the skin.
wow, this is really news to me, I've never heard anything bad about their products... very informative!!
ive used Hartz products and i have never heard they were bad for your pets...

Any other shampoo that helps regrow hair?

I wanted to know if there were any other shampoos out there other than Nioxin that worked? Does Nioxin actually regrow hair or does it just make it look thicker? I have read about Rogaine and how when you stop using it, it quits working. I was curious if there were any other products that worked that were like the Nioxin but cheaper? ThanksAny other shampoo that helps regrow hair?
Nioxin is probably the best shampoo out there aimed towards hair loss. The shampoo has 3 natural anti-dht agents in it whether u believe it or not ( 1) serenoa serrulata which is nothing but sawpalmetto- an antidht agent 2) urtica dioca and 3 ) prunus africana ...the latter two being relatively mild anti dht agents. It also has copper petide and caffeine as growth stimulants. And there is scientific evidence to prove that these ingredients have contributed to hair regrowth.

However, the effectiveness of these agents in a topical application as in a shampoo ';MAY'; be quite limited, though topical nizoral shampoo (with ketoconazole as the chief anti-dht agent) has been shown to produce positive results.

I believe this shampoo does work wonders on women and men with mild hair loss. Heavy hair loss in men with significant dht damage should have to resort to something else.

After a month of using the shampoo and therapy (nioxin system 1) i had hair growing on my hairline like back when i was 16. After an year of use now i have the hair line of a 16 yr old and i'm 27. I will swear on this product with blood!!!!!!!!

Are Tresemme's styling products better than their shampoo and conditioner?

Idk.. i have only used the shampoo and conditioner.. but they worked really well so i guess they might?

  • What Shampoo Brand In The Phil. Can Make My Hair Grow Long Fast?

hi im from the Philippines and i wanted to know what shampoo brand in the phil could make my hair grow faster because im making my hair longer but i want to grow fast so could you pls tell me what shampoo brand that is available in the phil that could make my hair grow faster? What Shampoo Brand In The Phil. Can Make My Hair Grow Long Fast?
shampoo cant really make your hair grow. but if you use conditioner in place of shampoo, your hair will be moisturized and healthy, which in turn will make it grow. just stop the breakage. if your hair isnt breaking, then its probably growing at its full potential. What Shampoo Brand In The Phil. Can Make My Hair Grow Long Fast?
no shampoo can do that. hair only grows a half inch a month. if you want long hair the best thing you can do is keep it healthy so it doesn't break off, but nothing will make it grow faster.

    so baby shampoo or Ivory

    Irish Spring Shampoo and Deodorant

Irish Spring shampoo gives you 8hours of smeeling great

and the deordorant works even if you running while weighing 600 lbs (300 kg)
Lynx Shower Gel is nice (I think in other countries you call it Axe)

However the deodorant doesn't last long so i would get a bottled fragrance like hugo boss for the deodorant part
try head and shoulders shampoo, suave hair conditioner, and olay body wash
I use Nivea Men deodorant and Dove shampoo. smell good.

Where do fleas come from and what is the best way to get ride of them. I have tried Frontline and flea shampoo

My child has ashma and I need a way that will not affect his lungs.Where do fleas come from and what is the best way to get ride of them. I have tried Frontline and flea shampoo
try K/9 ADVANTAGE..quick..works well but a little spendy..Where do fleas come from and what is the best way to get ride of them. I have tried Frontline and flea shampoo
Do NOT use OTC flea products including flea collars %26amp; shampoos. These are worthless at best and can be very harmful to your dog including causing death. They also can be harmful to anyone with allergies or asthma. Use Frontline or Advantage from the vet. Vacumn your house everyday. If your vacumn has a bag empty the bag into an outside trash container every time you vacumn.Wash all dog beds. Get a household spray from your vet to use in your house. Be particually careful to vacumn and treat around baseboards, under furniture, under and around couch and chair cushions, mattresses %26amp; box springs and other dark, warm areas. Also vacumn your car since you can carry fleas and eggs on your clothes and shoes. If you have a light infestation it will only take a matter of a few days to rid your home of fleas however if you have a heavy infestation then it could take 3-4 months. Even if you see fleas on your dog after treating with Frontline it doesn't mean it isn't working..it simply means you still have fleas in the enviornment and they are getting on the dog. This is fine because once they come in contact with the treated dog they will die as will any eggs they lay.
have the dog wear a flea collar after being defleaed at the groomers
    take him to the vet.
I'll tell you what, this is going to sound strange, but Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo really worked on my dog. Makes me wonder about what we're putting on our babies, but still . . .
Run the sweeper everyday if you have them in your carpet use flea powder onthe carpet ther'e going to have to cycle the adult s will die eventually but the eggs and young will die now it's a battle but you will win in the end .
Fleas are parasites that live on or around animals. If you live in a humid climate like the Southeast, it will be a year round problem. You must treat the animal, the house, and the yard (if the animal goes out).

Front line is okay, but not a stand alone. Treat your house. Liquids work better, but may not be practical for you. If not, use an aerosol on your floors, carpets and furniture. be sure to get something that is labeled for fleas in the house. And vacuum all the time. Vac before you treat. When you see fleas again-repeat. Keep at it til fleas are gone. Let at least 7 days pass before retreating. Shampoos are worthless, except for washing the dog. No shampoo is any more effective than regular soap or shampoo. Don't pay money for flea shampoo-soap suds work just as well.

You may have to take your child out while you treat. If you wait about an hour before you bring the child back, and ventilate the home-you should be okay.

    Recap-

    1. treat animal

    2. treat floors and furniture

    3. treat yard if applicable

    4. vacuum, vacuum, vacuum.

Bt the way-don't be afraid to vacuum. And Don't use any Hartz Mountian products-its dangerous.
I have two dogs and I have had a lot of luck using garlic tablets for them. I was told by a breeder that garlic is a natural way to keep the fleas away.

If you find that you dog has fleas, the best thing that I ever had was directly from the vet. It was a shampoo to kill the fleas %26amp; eggs and a spray for the house. You spray it on the furniture, carpeting, beds everything in the house.

Remember that fleas can live off of humans as well, they will bite you just like they will bite your pets, so they aren't something to play around with.

    Good Luck!
You don't just treat the pet if you have a bad case you will need to treat your house and your yard. You can buy products that should take care of the yard and home at your local pet store. Make sure you vacuum a lot and wash any bedding or areas that your dog is always lying in.

    Good luck

well, i have the same problem.

my mom is a hair stylist so we use really good products.

honestly, there is no ';miracle'; shampoo that will stop frizz.

what i do is brush my hair right after i get out of the shower, and leave it alone for the rest of the day.

but 95% of the time, i flatten my hair with a T3 flattener.

but i also use repairing conditioner.

and my hair is not dry and brittle like most people's hair is that flatten theirs every day.

the key is to use expensive products.

Which shampoo gets rid of dandruff more effectively?

Hello guys I need your help.If you have used garnier fructis anti-dandruff shampoo and head %26amp; shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo and know which one gets rid of dandruff more effectively you can help plz answer my question!!! (you dont need to have used it if you just know answer plz) THNX :)Which shampoo gets rid of dandruff more effectively?
I have used both. Head and shoulders is the best one in my opinion. You could also try Dove- anti-dandruff.Which shampoo gets rid of dandruff more effectively?
In my experience, none of the standard anti-dandruff shampoos worked for me, such as Head %26amp; Shoulders, Neutrogena, and the others you listed. I've tried most of them and Nizoral (it should be available where Head %26amp; Shoulders is sold) is the only shampoo that works. I only use it 2-3 times a week though because using it every day may be bad for your hair.
I personally cant stand head and shoulders because the smell is awfull and it feels like it takes my breath away (not in a goood way). Try dove anti dandruff or a moisturizing shampoo because dandruff is usually caused by a dry scalp. so the moisturizing shampoo will moisturize your hiar and your scalp. hope i helped
theirs an excellent one which pharmacists recommend its called t gel by neutrogena and it is really good for dandruff, heres a review on it http://www.ciao.co.uk/Neutrogena_T_Gel_A鈥?/a>

seriously go for this it really does work, if not go into a chemist and ask to speak to a pharmacist or if the dandruff is really bad go to your doctor and they give you something for you scalp

    good luck
Neither. Both have too much alcohol that dries your scalp out and produces flaking. The best one to use would be a tea tree shampoo and conditioner. Regis has some that aren't too expensive (just find a regis salon in your area)

  • Highlights are fading between visits. Stylist says I need to use a sulfate free shampoo. Other alternatives?

Are there any other color maintenance tips or shampoos and conditioners that I can use? I have not had much luck with the sulfate free shampoos. I keep going back to my Kenra volumizing shampoo and conditioner.Highlights are fading between visits. Stylist says I need to use a sulfate free shampoo. Other alternatives?
Volumizing shampoos have a lot of alcohol in them and have a tendancy to dry out the hair a lot of the time. Thats how they give you the volume, it drys out your hair. By drying your hair, you're opening the cuticle allowing the color molecules to strip away slowly from your hair. Sulfate free is a better alternative. Try going an extra day or two between shampooing, that would make it a lot easier matinence wise and time wise.! you'll feel a difference in your hairs health as well.Highlights are fading between visits. What shampoo do you recommend for my puppy's fur? her fur is very rough?

I am currently using this http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752770%26amp;cp=%26amp;sr=1%26amp;origkw=puppy+shampoo%26amp;kw=puppy+shampoo%26amp;parentPage=search%26amp;keepsr=1

it's great and it smells good but it doesn't make her fur smooth, its smooth for like couple of hours after her bath, but then later its all rough again, do you have any shampoo recommend for a 4 months old chihuahua mix? What shampoo do you recommend for my puppy's fur? her fur is very rough?
follow up with a conditioner. Bath her no more then every 3 months. feed sardines in olive oil as treats. What shampoo do you recommend for my puppy's fur? her fur is very rough?
Try Mane and Tail conditioner. It can be rinsed out or left in to condition the coat-It works great for my shih-tzus.
go to walmart or target and look in the animal department and look for her type of skin
How often are you bathing? Could be you are stripping the natural oils; once a month should be more than enough.
She may need a vitamin supplement,or extra oil, as in fish to her diet.Just as with humans,it's not what you put on --it's what you put in that gives you great nails/hair!Conditioners are only for you to feel you did something, and it's only temporary,as you found out!
a dogs coat is naturally occurring on dogs as is hair on humans, but however it is totally different, A dogs coat certainly doesn't need shampooing at least for 6 week intervals and Even that would be regular. A smooth brush, dog mitt or just stroking the coat would help more.
I don't see anything wrong with the shampoo. You may want to rethink the food you are feeding your puppy. Better the food, better the skin and coat.
