After washing, drying and coloring my hair often, my hair is super dry. suggestions on shampoo/conditioner?

any tips on what type of shampoo/conditioner would help out my hair? every search comes back with whoever sponsors the page, so i'd love an unbiased opinion. thanks!After washing, drying and coloring my hair often, my hair is super dry. suggestions on shampoo/conditioner?
ok well personally i find that some of the home made remedy's work better than even the expensive treatments you can get.

you hair might be dry for many different reasons such as:

*exposure to harsh chemicals

* harsh shampoo

* shampooing too often

* hair dye

* hair perms

* chlorine in swimming pools and hot tubs

* overuse of the blow dryer or curling iron

* too much exposure to sun and wind

* high mineral content in local water supplies

these are easy to remedy and id recommend trying these first before you splash out on expensive conditioners, oils etc. you just need to be careful about how you treat your hair, cutting back on activities that cause it to become dry. switch products. wear a cap when swimming. cover your head when you're outside in the sun for prolonged periods.

...after youve tried this, if you want to try different products, i would highly recommend these:

SHAMPOO:

kerastase is hands-down the best shampoo on the market, however, you will pay a price for perfection. bain de force is a vitamin-infused shampoo created for parched, dry hair. it contains a 'bond mender' that strengthens weakened hair.

HAIR MASK:

kerastase masquintense. its ultra-rich and packed with moisturizing proteins and gives salon results. the deep conditioner detangles quickly, softens and won't weigh hair down.

REPAIR CREAM:

jf. lazartigue vita-cream with milk proteins. applied after shampooing to the driest parts of your hair, this protein-enriched conditioner uses vitamin f and lacteal (milk) proteins to rebuild, detangle and protect dry hair.

hope this helps

i used coconut herbol essences last night and now i cant keep my fingers out of my hair!
go to a beauty salon and get profesional advice instead of wasting money on shampoos and conditioners that add plastics to your hair
2 cups of mayonaise and 1 raw egg... and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice mix it up....apply to hair...wrap hair in plastic wrap and let it sit for 15 min. wash...and air dry.

you'll love it!!! i do it 2x a month. it's like a hair makeover!

ps...you can put your hair in a ponytail holder while it's sitting if your hair is long enough...makes it easier for the plastic wrap to hold.
use restoring shampoo and conditioner
you need a shampoo and conditioner that is focused on moisture. and it sounds like some kind of repair too. i'd try aussie moist shampoo, and then maybe a dove hair therapy conditioner? but little things you do can also affect how dry your hair is. you can try washing it everyother day. and also when you do wash, try not to wash the ends of your hair. when you rinse the shampoo will run through it and that cleans it enough. then try not to blow dry it after every time you wash it. if you have the time, let it air dry. and when you do blow dry it, use a heat protective spray. it like the kind matrix makes. if you color your hair at home then your kit should also come with conditioner, and if you do, i would also recommend using that about once a week. if not, get a deep conditioner/hair mask (i like garnier frutics) and use that once a week.

hope this helps, good luck :]
I agree with mayo, my tips and help book says use cap for 15 minunts, think Ill go do it now. ..%26gt;%26gt; But says will loosen curls, didnt know that. *mamax
Pantene Pro-V Intensive Moisturizing Shampoo

Organic Root Salon Replenishing Olive Oil Conditioner

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner
use a hair mask
try l'oreal vive pro smooth intense shampoo and conditioner. i have it and it works wonders. when you put in the conditioner, dont rinse all of it out. leave some in and it will feel silky smooth by the next day.
i really like herbal essence color shampoo. its also good to get a heavy conditioner or a mask or serum for colored hair. you use it when you take a shower and leave it in for about 5 minutes. after you get out of the shower use bedhead's Ego Boost. Its a leave in conditioner, it works well.
I use Biolage Color Care shampoo and conditioner. They really keep my hair very soft and frizz-free.
I wash my hair often , and now its all dry from a colouring expierience, so go to a good store, like the pharmacy adn get a hair moisturizer after a trim every 6-8 weeks, adn using to much shampoo can cause this too, but!! if you use heat product, try to limit your self!
